Never be afraid of a costume change, J! You can borrow some of jackets if you'd like... But really, I am so glad you like my new style Vetiver! Such a pleasure to listen to your thoughts on it! Rx
The story alone is worth a try of this cologne in my opinion. To hear Roja Tell it, his long time partner had a head of percent in which the formula was changed. So Roja being Roja, He just made this sent for his person! Great smell and even better story!
I am sampling them side-by-side and here are my thoughts: Justin is absolutely right in that both Tom Ford's and Roja's Vetiver are very similar, with subtle differences. For me, TF Grey Vetiver smells a bit sharper, more thick grassy than woody. I grew up in a house with a thatched roof, and it is like climbing up the ladder into the attic and standing right under the stalks of reed. To me it is a little earthy but dominated by cut, thick grass (not freshly cut green grass, but dried thatch material). Roja Vetiver seems a little more complex and more refined to me. There is still a thatchyness but it mixes with woody cedar accords. The Jasmine is also present. Whereas TF Grey Vetiver feels like I am climbing into the attic under the thatched roof, Roja Vetiver more smells like an old timey barn on a hobbyist farm in which hay mixes with the wooden beams. More precisely, it reminds me not of entering the barn itself, but of a person who spent some time in the barn, maybe doing some recreational wood working, with little pieces of hay and wood chips in his hair. I like both and would recommend TV GV for people who look for some ruggedness, and the Roja Vetiver for people who look for understated old money. I'm most likely getting the Roja Vetiver for myself, but I am holding off with buying a full bottle until I have tested Incident Diplomatique. Justin, I wonder whether this difference between 'smells like a place/thing' vs 'smells like someone who spent some time in that place/with the thing' can be generalized, with regards to Tom Ford, or at least some of this products? I am thinking about the Ombre Leather here, which totally smells like the thing (i.e., black leather jacket or couch). Is that something that Tom Ford maybe pursues as his design philosophy? Would love to hear your thoughts, also with regards to Roja's design philosophy, since you also seem to know him (@rojadove4680). Keep up the great work!
Great video! Just got a decant of this fragrance. It's absolutely beautiful! Love how all the notes work together. Can't wait to rock this more often now that it's getting warmer.
Was looking for a review of Vetiver by Roja & was happy to see that you made a review of it, really wanna try this now, also I know commenting on an old video 😂
JC love your smooth style my man, thx for the review. Just picked this up at my boys store in Wynwood Miami - OSME, amazing spot btw. Love this juice, a modern fresh twist on classic scent with the quality and blend you’d expect from Roja. Loving it. Great for hot Miami day’s!
I've not tried this, so it's great to learn more about it from you. It sounds fantastic, Vetiver extrodinare by frederic malle is still my favourite so I'll have to try this at some point 👌
This Vetiver by ROJA is better than creed vetiver. Kevin would consider wearing this as summer/spring fragrance? Debating to trade my parfum elysium. I’m complicated and indecisive person. 😂
What’s some recommendations for making this project/last longer? I drink copious amounts of water daily and keep my skin hydrated. Beautiful fragrance, but doesn’t last 30 mins on me.
Great review bro. Explained it well but short and sweet to the point. Really liked the tip about the collar bones gonna try that thanks a lot! Appreciate u man. - Colin
Justin what do you think of vetiver by creed? Last but least: Justin C. Would this be winter/fall or spring /summer? I live in Southern California and our weather here is inconsistent.
Thx!!! By the way on this video you mentioned spray inside on collar bone. I tried this morning. I like this idea by ROJA. My only concern when you spray 2 behind neck, 2 side of the neck. And inside collar wouldn’t be too much to offend the people around you. ? Especially the high concentrations Parfum. Let me know!! Thx!😅
Hey Justin C. Loving this vetiver cologne i purchased not long ago. I still haven’t open my parfum elysium yet. I’m hesitant to open it is bc I might trade it in for oligarch or apex. 😂
How does this compare to Elysium. Because I bought a bottle of it , I just love it. I’m afraid to buy a sample of vetiver and liking it because then I’ll have to buy a bottle ha
You can say it’s like a hybrid of eau de toilette and eau de parfum. In terms of it has the projection of a edt and longevity of a edp . Best of both worlds

I should have changed my shirt, Roja! Your jackets are incredible and I'd be happy to try one someday! Thank you for stopping again.

Love this vetiver by ROJA. I wear it to gym and office. So versatile and addicting.!!!!!
Nice!

Great review, hope to get my nose on the new releases sometime in the next few weeks.

I might have to get this to complete my collection lol! I have the Parfum which is gorgeous!
I love the whole collection! Haven't smelled the Parfum version of Vetiver yet.
I really like the music on this video, which I believe is on all pf your videos!
Quick.. Helpful...and to the point. Nice video. Thanks.
Justin what do you think of vetiver by creed? Last but least: Justin C. Would this be winter/fall or spring /summer? I live in Southern California and our weather here is inconsistent.
I really enjoy Original Vetiver.

@@eugenegutierrez5106 feel free to spray with more caution when using stronger fragrances!
Great review thanks for sharing

Love Vetiver too. Elysium is very nice, but I prefer both Apex and Oligarch to it.
This may be the peak of my love for vetiver fragrances. welp time to save up
Great review man!
Bro, I noticed you done this Roja Vetiver and the Creed Original Vetiver. Which 1 do you think is the best and why?
They are both completely different takes on vetiver, and both worth trying!
Have you tried Zion by AF? It's supposed to be an Elysium clone and I've never smelled Elysium, but zion is fantastic!!
Haven't tried Zion but I hear great things!
JC, You must try that vetiver monster from Nishane.
How does this compare to Elysium. Because I bought a bottle of it , I just love it. I’m afraid to buy a sample of vetiver and liking it because then I’ll have to buy a bottle ha
They are almost nothing alike!
What is the explanation behind Parfume Cologne combination? Is it a parfume or a cologne?
You can say it’s like a hybrid of eau de toilette and eau de parfum. In terms of it has the projection of a edt and longevity of a edp . Best of both worlds
Dang! those bottles are gorgeous. It sounds like an absolute banger, I need to get my nose on it. This hobby is making me broke. Nice vid JC.
Anotha amazing video brother!!
I'm not a vetiver fan in fragrances. The note comes off too old for me as a gourmand lover. But stellar job with the review as always.
Try Creed's Original Vetiver perfume!
@@ntwalipat2 I have. I'm not a fan of it.
@@professorx8258
Ouch! In that case you probably don’t really like vetiver, but I heard Nishane’s Sultan Vetiver is irresistible!
Great review and I enjoyed it and I'm gonna try it have a blessed day
Michael that's about 30 fragrances in the last 2 days you will try. How do you arrange the order you plan to try them? Please let me know
What would u prefer? This one or the Parfum version?
I haven't smelled the Parfum, but I love this version.
How does this compare to Original Vetiver from Creed?
ok i have to ask this vs creed vetiver geranium , who wins
Is it soapy like Grey Vetiver?
A little bit, but its more dry and green!
@@stayfreshproductions Ok thanks, I didn't like that soapy aspect of Grey Vetiver EDP it gave me way old school barbershop vibe
I wish this is compared to real vetiver perfumes like Chanel sycamore or Frederic Malle vetiver extraordinaire
We all have our own taste
But who is the perfumer
Shh....
@@Apero1Spritz 🤣
First!! Ha!! Finally lol Def need to get my nose on this Vetiver
lol you def gotta!
I keep reading this is very similar to Tom Ford GV except with terrible longevity.
The longevity on me is very good.
Thank you my friend,👏👏👏🇬🇧
Yo JC that track in the background is heeat ! May I get the name please
