It's so good you found on your own the colored vinyl edition. The white marble is one of most beautiful vinyl in my opinion. I believe I seen His Hand in Mine LP on White Marble colored vinyl. Madison Square Garden Concert for all the years of Elvis concerts, still holds the top spot in the vast library of Elvis Live recordings. Las Vegas shows have some great shows, but the Madison Square Garden evening and afternoon in the Garden with Elvis doing a candid interview remains one of his best moments. The marble vinyl copy simply tops it off nicely. Elvis has left the building.
Nice collection and variants on the same theme. I have a Mexian 45 EP (MKE 1507) with same cover with 4 live songs from other shows. Always thought it strange that Elvis only peformed at NYC once.
Hi Ed Love the Madison Square Garden release great great show. Great stuff you have Ed. I have the US releases, Japan and German releases on cd. Also have STAR The Unreachable Star and Prince From Another Planet dvds that syncs up 8mm footage and syncs to the cds these are great to watch. Elvis sounded tremendous at these shows wish I could have been there. Thanks for another great video Ed. Bill
A great live album. One of my favorite Elvis performances up there with Aloha From Hawaii. Have the album on vinyl and CD but also the June 10th afternoon show on CD
Love the Garden Shows....The one thing i have always noticed is the evening show has a warmer sound and mix but the afternoon gig always sounded a little on the bright side not sure why unless they corrected somethings after learning something from the afternoon show or maybe the source tape ?
Austin Butler you did it again. Elvis put another mountain for you to climb and you did it. BAFTA for best actor in a lead roll. Elvis and Lisa he did you proud.👑
Great lineup of Madison Square Garden releases. The FTD book is fantastic. I picked it up a couple of years ago and it wasn’t cheap. There’s a copy on eBay currently at over $2k. If I could go back , I would’ve bought two copies of each FTD release over the years, as the return on these products is better than the stock market. The black label cd is definitely from the 90s, as I believe I still have a copy with the “Elvis in the 90s” sticker on it. The MOV release is a good find. It’s a fairly new release. I couldn’t find it locally, so I ordered from a vendor in the UK.⚡️
A totally great album! Nothing can be said. Indeed I was thinking about picking up this copy up as well, but have passed on it unfortunately. But as everyone has stated, that is crazy for the FTD Book now over 2k??? Wow. It was just an honor to have hanged out with the one and only “Limited Edition” man himself. TCB ⚡️⚡️😎 Josip.
Enjoyable watch Ed 👍🏻 Would love to get hold of that book !! Allways been a great show/ concert 😁 Why O why it was never filmed for posterity is behond me .... I blame Parker again 😡 Dick head !!!! Cheers Ed 🥂
Mr. Ed. Just checked E Bay for the Madison Square Garden book. Currently have on listed at $2130.57! One other listed at $533.18! INSANE! But, I would like to own one. Not at these prices! Keep yours! Or sell it to me for $50? LOL!!!! Very nice video!
Great collection Ed and was going to pass on this due to the high price $75 in Australia but I do like the look of that marble vinyl!! Very tempting. Thanks Ed.
It's a shame the Phil Gelormine MSG 8mm afternoon footage couldn't have been acquired, too. We would then have had nearly 3/4 of the show available on film [from source] and less of the silly blank spots.
Ed I absolutely your channel my friend but I would also love to know your thoughts on other channels that I also subscribe to and hopefully you do to such as Marks Elvis for everyone, TCB since 73 and Elvis Always Productions.
oh wow, i read long ago there was a quadrophonic release. I think it s impossible to find a system that can decode it (a 1970s 4way amplifier or decoder)
I do not need multiple copies of the same recording. The reason why I started a CD collection in the late eighties was because it was supposed to be superior to vinyl. I am certainly not against fans collecting what they want, but ever since getting married, I have much more important priorities. Besides, I buy other rock artists, if I can find the CD's. For example, I got the latest new releases from Iron Maiden, and a couple of posthumous CD's from Jimi Hendrix and Tom Petty. The Hendrix CD is "Live At The Los Angeles Forum, 1969", the same venue Elvis played at in 1970, and got tangled up in the string jumpsuit. The Hendrix CD is amazing. When Hendrix laughed, he sounded like a lot like Elvis. The guitar work is mind boggling.
@@TheKingsCourt1972 I understand. In the past, when I was single, I was accused of making my home a shrine for Elvis. Of course, that was never my intention. However, Elvis recorded a lot, so over the years, you are going to amass a ton of collectibles. Anyway, I just love rock n roll. Elvis will always be number one. If you did not get a chance to listen to the latest posthumous Jimi Hendrix release yet, it is really stunning. Great stuff.
Hi, i recommended the 3 cd set from straight arrow records. The set has the opening, the evening same as on lp and the closing show in very listenable audience sound.
I love this album, and the "Prince" set sounds amazing, like you're dead center and five rows from the stage. If I recall correctly, the original album was rush released, a week or so after the shows.
The afternoon In the garden has more recorded time and that should be a new 2 album set at about 60 minutes , with gatefold cover with concert pictures and album sleeve with liner notes and newspaper review ? TCB
Awesome collection Ed. I believe I have all those releases as well. I had to jump on the marbled white vinyl release as well! How can you pass on that? I got my copy off amazon. You were lucky to find a copy in a record shop because amazon sold out of their pre-orders and my 1st order was cancelled and I had to find it through another seller on amazon. Anyways I'm happy with it. Great "LIMITED EDITION" release!!! Thanks for sharing, always look for your new videos!
I dont know how many copies of the same album just repackaged in different versions anyone needs unless some thing is made that has better sound two albums and a cd of albums is enough for me now maybe I'm getting older and downsizing olso iv got more into downloading music elvis and other music I have 1 book that's a rare book now worth 5 times its original price of 100 dollars and going up ,I still love watching your passion for all the new releases of stuff and opinion ed having said all that lol .
I’m all in for anything MSG. Being I’m from New York myself, it’s an exciting place and the Elvis record is a phenomenal representation of what happened that magnificent night. Oh Ed, I passed on the 1985 Japan cd , but I do have a later edition from ‘99, I believe, How does the Sonic quality compare with today’s standards? Still hold up ??
Ed you don't have An Afternoon In The Garden cd?? The show was the best of the 4 shows the King did and I think it's the best sounding live cd Sony/BMG did at the time of its release.
Hey Ed. Is it possible to find the 2 LP white label promo or the 2cd/1dvd set of "Elvis - As Recorded Live From Madison Square Garden" in any of the music stores today? Thank you!😀
Phew! No salty language. Thank f#ck for that ! Good video Ed.
👍
The karate bit he did at the end of Suspicious Minds on the Prince From Another Planet DVD was awesome. It gets to me everytime.
I used to sing this whole album as a teen with a pencil as my 🎤
You take your Ed have a wonderful day and God bless
It’s a nice release from cover to vinyl to sound quality

Awesome ed
I'm going to continue hoping they reprint that gorgeous FTD book. I'm also hoping to win the MEGA millions. 🤣😜
The Elvis in the 90's Elvis at MSG is from 1992.
Love the Garden Shows....The one thing i have always noticed is the evening show has a warmer sound and mix but the afternoon gig always sounded a little on the bright side not sure why unless they corrected somethings after learning something from the afternoon show or maybe the source tape ?

I think it is 1991 because they released Aloha from Hawaii the same year. Cheers.
I have the music on vinyl #834 , had to have it because it's my favorite concert of all. Nice collection Ed keep up the great work brother 👍🏼 ⚡️⚡️
Elvis fans are well known for buying the same stuff over and over again! Your video is indicative of this. Well done!
Hi Ed Madison Square Garden true cool album have in your elvis collection love ftd book love your video you do keep up great video and take care
Got them all
Looks fantastic Ed ♥

Nice comparison for you Ed , I brought it here in New Zealand last week , number 001835 ,cost NZD $69.00

I love it! I have the Japanese 4-channel release, but don't have a 4-channel system to try it out on.
oh wow, i read long ago there was a quadrophonic release. I think it s impossible to find a system that can decode it (a 1970s 4way amplifier or decoder)
I am thinking for the back cover of msg album should have had a promotion for the film Elvis on tour with names of cities filmed for the mgm movie ,
hopefully see an FTD release one day. I have the Japan cd4 gatefold. I'm missing the book☹

Too bad Sony/Legacy didn’t release the Afternoon show on vinyl for it’s 50th Anniversary in 2022. 😢
The Prince from another Plant like you I have not opened it either.

The DVD should have pictures of concert and fans and msg building instead of a blank screen as music is played , maybe for future reissue ?
Don’t hold your breath. 👍
You should start collecting the UK copies. That way you can buy them all again lol
I wonder if FTD will release this lp

Possible but not common.
That book is currently selling on eBay for $2,100

They did speed it up.
i wonder which release has the best sound quality. I have the japanese cd, but no comparison.
I think the 1985 Japanese CD pressing sounds great. 👍
@@TheKingsCourt1972 ok 👍

LOL.. Be thankfull you dont live in Australia... The white Marble Edition cost Nearly Ninety Bucks Down here.
