I’m at true north now. Today is my last day of fasting - day 21!! Someone here told me about this video since she was given this soup for high blood pressure which you didn’t mention yet. She said this yummy soup has brought down her blood pressure - that’s why they gave it to her.

Love this! I remember having this wonderful soup made for me while I was there. The only difference was that mine was made with sweet potatoes instead of Yukon gold potatoes. Unfortunately, I didn't do well with the juices post water fast either. Absolutely thee best soup ever! I was actually telling my sister about this recipe last week, and here you two are this morning talking about it and demonstrating it. 😮Thank you! 😊

Thank you for sharing your experiences and this recipe with us, Chefs AJ and Bravo! I was thrilled to meet you, Chef AJ (and Charles and Bailey) on your first day at True North in September which was my last day. I fasted 13 days and have lessened some inflammation and kept the weight off. Yay! I purchased several cookbooks while there, including both of Chef Ramses' books. I agree with you wholeheartedly, Chef AJ, Nathaniel and the staff are wonderful people! Nathaniel was so incredibly kind to my daughter and me!

I did make this and it would be fine, but I added 1 garlic to the blender, blended 1/2 the mix. Some chunkiness😋👍... Then I added some red miso paste, spiraled raw zucchini noodles and nutritional yeast... Next level yumminess.... This could be a great broccoli soup! Too! Thank you... I have lots of ideas to experiment with. 👍💡🤔🤗😍😋😋😋😋💋♥️💗

I had trouble with juice after my fast and was given this delicious soup. The first sips when the soup is really hot are divine. But it takes a while to drink the soup and after a few minutes, the potatos kind of congeal and become a little gummy. I'm going to make this with squash instead to see if I can prevent that glue-y texture as it cools.

I just saw a show off-Broadway in NYC about a small group of women and 1 man who are water fasting (one is on a juice fast) in Northern California. In this play, the program is for pain management but I immediately thought it has to be based on True North, having been there myself. It's based on a location about an hour north of SF.... The play is written by noted playwright Annie Baker and I wondered if she had been a guest at True North. The play is called Infinite Life. Not my favorite play of hers but enjoyable and thought provoking.
I am super curious why AJ wanted to water fast given how slim she is. I do have one of Ramsey's cookbooks and will order the second one. Thank you for this video.

interesting. I've been making a version of that soup for years but using some veggie broth, and a teaspoon of dijon mustard.... I've used russet potatoes ...I do peel them. and stick blend until super smooth. delicious and good anytime. I usually use a pack of zucchini from Trader Joe's and one good sized russet or two yukon golds. I don't like it too thick. I've often added a handful of spinach before blending. I love my instantpot but I find a saucepan works better for this and I don't any difference in time.
