This video was recorded like a week ago, since I've change a couple of things but even if I have a perfect version of this I don't think it will be "hard meta" because it relies too much teamwork. Like for example, since you get special ammo from primary/ability kills you can use grenade launcher hotswap to Unending Tempest with Collective Action or you can use the Targeted Redaction 120 hand cannon with Collective Action as well to secure 2 head 1 body with double primary. Either way the primary aspects of the build is there but what it's optimal pairing will be depends on how the sandbox will look like next patch. Anyways, just wanted to make a theory crafting video. Don't take this too seriously :v
I've been told that Bungie patched timed payload doing less damage to the body in checkmate, but we have to wait to test that. If it's true, 1 surge for a 120 from elemental charge will make it 2head 1body against all resiliences. That's where the surge should go if it is the case.
I feel like all arc classes will surge in popularity because a lot of their fragments and even in cases aspects can be activated without ability energy. But idk
Arcstrider is already slept on imo. Blink/Tempest/Gemini jesters turns you into a pest. Striker probably got over nerfed and arc warlock seems to be ok.
@@Flecco I’ve been toying with arc lock this season while using auto rifles and it’s been very fun. Good zoning grenades, a melee that still annihilates grouped/damaged enemies, arc souls actually do a lot of damage. Amplified slide is disgusting too.
Genuinely, Mercules at least has been keeping an eye on this. He’s mentioned it a few times on Firing Range when he’s been back on as a part of the Bungie team. Not saying it’ll be quick, but there are pvp sandbox people who have already spotted it as a potential problem
I’m expecting lumina with boots of the assembler to be very powerful. Even just assembler by itself to abuse benevolence and fish for grenade tags is going to be pretty strong
@@BurnerAcc-yy1sd”fishing” is a term players use to describe looking for a certain scenario to complete an action. Like a stasis warlock would “fish” for a enemy player to push them at an angle where they’d have an advantage to freeze them with their rift for a one hit melee. Or setting up a scenario to proc under over in a advantageous position on a Titan behind their barricade and 2 tap them. It’s pretty popular amongst high tier strategist pvp players like cammy cakes and cool guy for example.
So this build is obviously insane as is. I just don’t know if a 15% ability cooldown nerf will be enough to really motivate people to build it out and always have a three stack optimizing its setup. It’ll also just be abused in 3v3 trials and maybe some comp. So all the people duo and solo queuing won’t have to deal with it and complain. May still go under the radar for a long while

Got tea bagged by a clan name ICE when fighting this. There were so many of these we could destroy them fast enough. And they kept getting weapon surges that they did way too much damage. It was one hell of a trials week, in fact we fought them back to back twice.
I mean it’s hoarfrost-z, cloudstrike, crystal slide melee, glacier nade, demo headstone unending tempest, stasis overshields, stasis shards track to me, just in case y’all wanna know what I rock for stasis titan
Wouldn't deconstruct solve that problem with barricade and I recall another perk that does more damage to enemies with over shields like adaptive munitions.
that's -1 perk from you opponent's weapon just to counter your overshield. You also got the 10% damage buff pretty much permanently from collective action. To completely counter this build you need to stop them from feeding stasis shards which is done by breaking their crystals whenever they are on sight using timed payload. afaik deconstruct doesn't work as intended? so unless I'm missing something timed payload should still be way better even if you're not running whisper of rending.
Eh, I don't think people have the brainpower to make it work. It's been HOT since release, but people sleep on it because it's not a typical Slayer build.
I've been on this behe cracked head stuff since the season started. I cooked and refined this build way too much, and even current sandbox, it slaps. The buff to howl of the storm this season that makes it actually work against players more than an a rare occasion also made this much more enjoyable to pilot. Def some gap of knowledge to use though, and some thing in the game that work really well against it, like opposing stasis players, waveframe GLs ect. May have been better to keep this under wraps for the sake of the playerbases sanity tbh. Least used class in the game is boutta be EVERYWHERE, and cop an uneeded nerf when the biggest offender is the artifact mods and elemental charge that push this build over the edge
Permeability for energy and osmosis for kinetic slot combine with nezarec is also a viable built for cooldowns and synergy for using abities and making kills with both weapons.
If you want more uptime on ember of benevolence, use lumina with boots of the assembler. Using your noble rounds and the seekers boots of the assembler procs ember of benevolence.
Hunters have been hard meta in trials and quickplay. They average around 40-46% usage rate in trials, and 50-60% in quickplay. They are absolutely, undeniably the meta
@@smellon2767this is currently yes, he’s asking about next week when the major changes to ttk values, ability cooldowns and ammo changes occur. And while hunters will still be up there (let’s be honest it’s rare that hunter isn’t the class with the most usage) I’m sure a few will at least switch to titan or warlock for the ability cool downs temporarily to try it bc they both have more versatility in build synergy for cooldowns than hunters do
@@Docs4lty Hunters will have a completely different mindset/approach to the other two classes. Warlock and Titan are ability-driven engines most of the time, whereas Hunter is usually quite supplemental in their ability usage. They'll probably lean harder into gunplay and their agility. Warlocks (if they want to retain some of their power) will have to build into ability regen, and so will Titans. Hunters just need to keep their Mobility high and they'll be fine because very few of their abilities are outright broken; just supplemental. Worth mentioning too that Hakke weapons deal increased stasis crystal damage so those are great alternatives too! The returning The Title is a fantastic option for this build! With Hakke perk alone, it breaks a full crystal from a 6 to a 5 shot meaning the SMG can now full clear a glacial nade assuming you hit 25/27 shots. The real benefit is in breaking the howl of the storm crystals. 21/27 shots to break normally with The Title but now it is only 16/27 shots when Hakke turned on saving you 5 shots of time and allowing emergency ammo if you get pushed. I have yet to test with collective action, but as you have to collect the shards, I only imagine it might save 1-2 more shots. The main benefit of this is it can be both your crystal breaker and your primary allowing you to run a special instead of a 120+ a special. Additionally, the collective action benefit being on it makes it a perfect fit as it will aid in consistency. DO NOTE: Hakke+whisper of rending DOES NOT increase breaking speed for LARGE crystals. This combo only saves 1 bullet as Whisper of Rending will 2 shot all crystals already and the Hakke will only reduce the small crystals found in Howl of the Storm and Hoarfrost. I recommend only running Whisper of Rending OR a Hakke. If it fits sure otherwise Hakke is ment to be a more versatile substitute to the Whisper of Rending+120 Timed Payload. Ment to open up slots in your weapon loadout and fragments, but pairing with fragments gets minimal results.
