I have to say no. Even though Capone was good, NORE always stood out on the tracks on that album. His flow and delivery was very unique. Not much of a lyricist though. Never been his forte. I felt like it would have been the same way it is now. Capone didn't take it seriously. But I do agree with Capone getting mad at NORE at the time. Signing with Jay Z was a bad move. Not at that time. That wasn't a good time to do that. In all, I would have loved CNN to have reached the same level as Mobb Deep but it was Capone who messed it up

No, they couldn't have been Queens best duo they weren't better than Mobb Deep period! And Tragedy wrote some of Nore's rhymes on the War Report so Kill that Noise they could have been Queen's best duo smh. And We won't even count Run Dmc as a duo since Jam Master Jay was such an intricate part of the group.

First of, The War Report is one of the greatest debut albums ever in hip hop. I dont know if East Coast hip hop would have strive at that point if this album never existed. Second, this episode was great. You really mastered your content. To a point, it's near flawless now. Lastly, I felt that would have never been bigger than Mobb Deep. Look at what they did in 1999. Murda Musik was huge at the time, with It's Mine and Quiet Storm killing it.

I remember going to get a haircut at a barbershop downtown Newark back then and they played that entire album at the shop. Everybody was quoting the lyrics in there. Like all the barbers. That album is bonafide classic hands down. It solidified East Coast hip hop in a great way at the time. All of those MCs you ever mentioned are the backbone of that era's hip hop. N.Y." , over 6 months before C.N.N . dropped " The War Report"...me and my best friend Juno were blasting their shit in our spot and in our cars...but my favorite song was " Closer" in which they had a couple of Hood singer dudes thug out some lines from " A Little Bit of Love" by New Edition...it proved that they had creativity and even though they got compared to Mobb Deep...they had their own distinctive sound...they were both hot heads but Noreaga was some what business minded and focused on making the group's brand successful...the whole " Thugged Out Entertainment " movement he carried it on his back as a solo artist...even though he had his ups and downs with Capone...he used his success to keep the group relevant and from Reggaeton to acting and the Drink Champs podcast blowing up...He remained loyal!

Tracey Lee for real. His debut album was surprisingly dope. I bought it, back then, cuz of the Busta Rhymes remix and found out that he had dope creative joints on there. Biggie was on it too! It helped, lol

One of my favorite Nu-Metal groups, Drop Logic, is a tragic example of stunted growth, and being highly obscure. They only released one (really good) album called Fear & Sunlight, and did the infamous intro to the early 2000s English dub of Initial D. I wish they'd made more music, since what they had was really good. Its impossible to find more info on them however.
