The nook with it's added trim pieces, 8 pane windows, muted pastel color is all about the 1900's American frame houses on the east coast. Table and chairs is classic art deco- and the hand crafted vintage rug - world traveler = SPECTACULAR!
Absolutely LOVE that table - the paint colors, the new chairs and artwork - it all came together so beautifully! Well done, Drew! I'd vote 'yes' on installing a ceiling pendant. Your excitement and enthusiasm are just adorable - puts a smile on my face every time. 😊

Love the striped arch idea to link the wall colours in each room. I don't have an arch but perhaps it would work over small bits of wall, say around a window, to link different coloured walls in the same room. It all came together so well in a look that is more manageable to live with for the long term than the lemon wallpaper, which was lovely but slightly in yer face! Continue to be inspirational.
If I get the rental I really really want and already am so in love with, I'll steal the striped-archway idea from you. The apartment has an archway between a slightly older kitchen and the dining room, where the dining room has the most charming wood flooring, white wood panelling and just the most amazing windows and as an added plus, a wood stove. It's the scandi-wet dream, honestly, and it's even located in Denmark, which just adds so much extra charme. I'd love to add a darker color above the white panelling, and also touch up the kitchen a little bit with color and maybe different flooring if that is possible there.
I love how designers nowadays are going back to traditional modern style! I’m a designer myself but I normally go for modern/transitional, but I love how traditional is coming back in a more soft updated way.

Im going to do a smaller version of the table and I’m going to do that amazing stripped design you used on the arch on a wooden wall decor that I’m changing the colour of. Thank you!

This is hands down my favorite space in your apartment. The paired down minimalist vintage aesthetic is so timeless yet youthful and fun. Very European imo
Wow, Drew... simply gorgeousss! 😍 I'm loving that whole vibe. And that color... just WOW! You have that "simple, yet elegant" thing down to a science! And your nook looks so relaxing and inviting at the same time! It's absolutely perfect! Great job, once again! 👏🏽 (Also, can't wait to check out that Lowe's series!)

Definitely would recommend caulking wall molding/picture trim because it makes it all the more seamless. Totally shook at this paint just covering that black with no streaks!!!!
Congratulations on buying your own home. I loved your lemony kitchen, but, yes your new take on the nook is more homogeneous, harmonious and sophisticated. Brilliantly done❣️
I like (or liked, past tense?) to think of myself as capable of DIY, and have completed several (not insubstantial) projects... but then I watch your channel, and it's as if I've failed to learn the language of my own DIY world... I admire your creativity tremendously, Drew.
Stunning breakfast nook!! Such beautiful decor! The table is simply perfect !! All of it came together as it was meant to be!! Lovely! Enjoy your nook!
Love the striped arch! It actually reminds me of Moorish architecture, 7th-12th century in Iberia and North Africa. The Great Mosque at Cordoba, Spain is a classic example. GoT fans will also recognize it as the architectural style of Kings Landing. Quirky yet very classic.

I was sad to see the wallpaper go, but the new look is great too!
I love how you change your mind about a paint colour and just go with it and change it! I’ve got 2 ideas from this video. Im going to do a smaller version of the table and I’m going to do that amazing stripped design you used on the arch on a wooden wall decor that I’m changing the colour of. Thank you!
Drew! That breakfast nook looks perfect! The table & chairs are simply stunning!! Great work 👍🥰
The table is absolutely gorgeous and with the chairs (they are also gorgeous) looks like a quality set from a good manufacturer. The breakfast nook went from country bumpkin to upscale city fabulous. You are a natural with designs. Well done!
This is absolutely one of my favorites that you've done. The arch way and the picture moldings are such great details.
Thank you so much!
I like that you keep your place fresh.
Whoever’s reading this, i pray that whatever your going through gets better and whatever your struggling with or worrying about is going to be fine and that everyone has a fantastic day! Amen 💫
Definitely would recommend caulking wall molding/picture trim because it makes it all the more seamless. Totally shook at this paint just covering that black with no streaks!!!!
The simplicity of the staging is chefs kiss 👌🏽. Bon appétit in your refreshed breakfast nook.
Drew, that nook is all that and MORE. The table is fab with the chairs. But the colors, AWESOME.
What can I say? Absolutely gorgeous!! You outdo yourself with every design!!! Love it!!
Congratulations on buying your own home. I loved your lemony kitchen, but, yes your new take on the nook is more homogeneous, harmonious and sophisticated. Brilliantly done❣️
So, SOOOOOO beautiful. Warm and Paris warm!!
Beautiful! The striped entrance is a stroke of genius! ♥️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Love the final paint color you chose. Agree with your first assessment of the stripes in the archway.
it's so high class ... AD will be calling soon ... the paneling makes such a huge difference and the chairs w that table whoa
It’s giving pride & prejudice (2005) which is the highest compliment I can give
Loved the nook makeover. The non-matching picture frames was so calming for me. Same wood and shape but different size & width - lived it!
I like (or liked, past tense?) to think of myself as capable of DIY, and have completed several (not insubstantial) projects... but then I watch your channel, and it's as if I've failed to learn the language of my own DIY world...
I admire your creativity tremendously, Drew.
I would have never thought to paint the window trim and the walls the exact same color but it totally works wow!
I love it. The lines in the arch look like sun rays from afar... gorgeous
Drew you brought elegance to you breakfast nook..Absolutely beautiful and the decor is just lovely. Wonderful makeover.
Love the striped feature! Kinda echoes the fluting on the table base. Everything works so perfectly! 😍😍😍😍
The stripe idea is just genius…..Perfection…💙
