I also would like to do CPD
@@ruthcancilla248 can you explain what is CPD, please?
CONGRATULATIONS!
I worked in the linen department for two yrs and later upgraded into the Sterile dept...hope my journey inspires others .
If u don't mind me asking with being upgraded to the sterile department what would be hourly pay?
without a certificate? Nice!
@@daviddelapaz5396 its pretty up there, 18-20 and 20 and up if youre experienced and go to city hospitals.
I applied for a linen technician distribution at a hospital near me UAB it's evening hours from 6:00 at night can you please explain to me with the job may or may not require what I will and when I've been doing I'm new to this

Working in SPD is a very lucrative job/career, but the most important thing to do is to get Certified. Depending on the facility getting your certification can increase your pay as well.
Don’t know how I stumbled on this video but really glad I did! Thank you!
Oook thanks so much💯 I’m thinking it’s central supply then cause when I went over the description it was saying exactly what u were saying on this video 👍🏾
Thank you for this video.. I’m looking to transition into the hospital sector from being a dental hygienist for the past 20 yrs 👍
very informative and straight to the point!
Thanks for sharing that info...it's good start or a foundation into the healthcare sector.
Great video my friend. Another good entry is the IT Department. Hospital Help Desk in Denver starts at around $23/hr, so probably a bit higher where you're from. No degree or license needed to get started.
If you don't mind, what are the requirements to practice this job (IT)?
Loving your channel! Great info and keep up the great work
Central less patient contact the better
I am glad that I came upon this video..I am looking into getting into hospital work but really can't afford to go back to school
Good looking out. I'm looking to transition to the hospital setting and this video is a solid heads up. I hope your transition out of the hospital has gone well for you. Cheers.
Thanks for the info!
Sweet thanks!
I went to an EVS hiring event today Atlanta Georgia....I was surprised that it was not as many people as it was when I went this morning, it was only 8 people and that included. And the time is from 10 to 2. And I got there early and they had already started.
I just hope I get the JOB🎉🤗 THis is a great video👍🏽. I seen a couple of a other jobs that sparked my 🤔interest. And also I am glad I came across you because , I'm considering becoming a CNA but, from what I see a new CNA is not making as much as the jobs that you showed- starting off. And I have been looking.👀 And let me say where I am currently located in the state of Georgia CNA pay is not that great.... Too Start. Thanks 🌼💛
OR attendants...another good one. I wanted to do that too...nice video
thanks again!
Thank You!
Great video!
Great information 👍🏾👍🏾
I work in a hospital laundry dept. in California we start out at 30hr but it’s difficult. I just got full time and now I’ll be looking to transfer to something else within the hospital that pays more.
Thank you for sharing this i am looking for a position that I think i can do at the hospitals.
I looked up the dietary and it actually requires a bachelors degree in Dietetics or related field. They also require a current registration as a dietitian with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Very nice n fast understandable 💫💫💫
That’s insanely great pay, but location is everything. Where I’m at minimum wage is still $7.25/hr. You literally have to be a nurse to make $20+
He lives in California. The cost of living is high there so the jobs pay more.
I just started as an EVS 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it!! It's hard work and its kind of fun!
God bless you
How can you apply for it?
Thanks a lot.
@@juliomaroki4358 did you figure it out?
I guess I jump in this..
I am a PCA 1 at Houston methodist. In Houston, TX. The pay starts at 15.00 but my 2 year experience got me at 16.63.
I'll share my little journey! I started as a door attendant starting wage was $17+ after one year it got raised to $18+ then I got a new job as a sterile tech my wage is $19.99. I'm living in Minnesota if that helps.
@@EliKonsta No problem! It's a little over $10
@@EliKonsta yup! I didn’t have no certs, but have 14 weeks of training so that’s a major plus! Didn’t have to waste any of my own money
How long was your training for sterile tech?
@@moxeev
How and where one can apply for training?
Thanks in advance.
CONGRATULATIONS I just recently saw a few travel sterile processing tech position paying $2500 to $3500per week.
Unless I missed it you should disclose that these are California prices. Here in Texas specifically the Medical center, the biggest in the world might I add we do not make that kind of money. Also as a veteran supply chain technician I can confirm that our job is not chill, at least those of us who take our jobs seriously.
I'm at MD Anderson in the med center 🙂
i work in a hospital in dietary its easy af but iont get paid $20 lol there opportunity to move to other departments tho which is a plus. im in florida
Work in transport here in Chicago and love it!
I was hoping to work aboard for change I am still working on central sterilization department almost for 8 years but I can't get a chance any ideas to share
Hello, can all of these jobs work for people in the Bay Area too? Thanks
LOL these wages are not what you can expect in every state. In FL these are the lowest paid in the hospitals and you would be lucky to even see $15.
Where did you get the pay scale rate? They are high… I want to apple where ever the facility is.
I got an interview for central supply definitely excited for this new career if I get the job
@@EliKonsta I work at another job at Florida State University as a custodian Building service
@@EliKonsta I honestly don't know I don't think they have that position here
Hey what website did u go to for central supply
I applied to lab tech trainee guess I should of applied for these jobs instead so hard trying to get a hospital job here they very picky.
Idk what area this in for these kind of pay cause starting out at least 11. Or 13 and I’m in one of the biggest known hospital at that
I am currently doing at internship at my local hospital in dietary services. I am looking going into dietary aide work.
Any tips, I have a interview for hospital custodian later today
I work at Central supply and hopefully I can be a PCT
How did you get certified
I am trained an EKG and phlebotomy and I am also trained as a medical assistant but I am pending certification
where did you get your sources from and what areas of the country? ? Im in EVS and they only pay min wage ($14/hr) to $16/hr
@@EliKonsta That makes sense. In Texas Min wage for EVS as well lol
dietary aides earn minimum wage in my state
Where are your list of jobs?
I need help I'm getting one of those jobs
I’m not getting 21 per hour lol Evs is 15 starting

How many hours do nursing assistants work in the USA?
They work 8 hour shifts, 12 hour or 16 hour shifts. I'm in school to be a CNA and I want to work 3 12 hour shifts and be off the rest of the week.
@@ambitiousbeauty1013 Can you please tell me about the requirements to study it?
Thanks in advance!
@@juliomaroki4358 to become a CNA you must pass a 6 week class and exam. After the class you take the state exam and skills test to become certified.
@@ambitiousbeauty1013
Thanks s lot for answering my question!
Are maths and physics required in the exam?
I am very bad at both of them.
Thanks again.
@@juliomaroki4358 no it's not. If you go on UA-cam type in "CNA practice test 2022" You will see a video with practice questions to help you study.
where do u live with these wages
Yes please tell me..
Waaaaay to high, i work at a hospital, and our pay scale isn't this high
Get me website I want to go apply job
What math is required to be a Sterile processor
I have my ged, but I'm not good at math at all
@@EliKonsta What about in the prerequisites?
@@EliKonsta I thought that was what I read, but I wasn't sure. I seen some that didn't seem that way. That is super exciting because I already have a ged.
All I need is to get my foot in the door at the hospital so that may be they can pay for the classes lol
If any other jobs/careers come to mind that would be fitting then lmk
Do they hire people with criminal background for these positions
@@EliKonsta ok thank you
Depending on where you live texas will do background checks and they do not take anyone with a crimal record being that most these jobs are in the hospital
It all depends what state you live.
How many times do you think you've seen patients cough up phlegm?
