I hv a friend who's a Peranakan, his grandpa used to live in Emerald Hill but till his father he was born in 3 Room in Yishun and not that Yishun. I have another friend, White Eurasian, grandpa lived in Katong but now lived in Teck Whye. You gotta ask her what happened. Those that see are model examples. So glad I'm not a famous person. I don't even smile at my colleagues unless we are very close. I don't know how celebrities do it, esp celebrities like Felicia Chin. I've seen her a couple of times in town during her peak popularity. She will smile and wave at ppl who smile at her de and she was all alone too. It takes a lot of confidence to do that, not knowing if the person on the street is your fan, your hater or a person who doesn't even know u and is smiling to someone behind u. 😂
