I Copied an Old Master Backwards

This painting is a copy of an old master which I had so much fun copying even though I did it backwards - She's turned the opposite way She's also about ten years younger. Most people trace an old master's portrait work and then carefully fill in the image much like a coloring book or a paint-by-number kit. You actually painted one! This is fantastic, I'm so impressed but I did have to smile when she suddenly changed from Diane Sawyer to a young Jessica Simpson toward the end of the video. I think Vermeer would be happy with this.

Well I hope you are right - I don't like messing with a proven masterpiece. Tracing is a great idea if you lack the skill to draw. She did jump back 10 years in age I hope Vermeer would be amused.
