Some people still don't get it. Nas is the greatest.
Kanye West is magical with the vocals. He got that ghetto gospel voice that can save people's lives. Reminds me of Zola 7 here in South Africa

@@Khushmedia is that a question or a suggestion?
No twerking, no drinks, no smoke, no fancy cars, no $$$ . Just pure truth. We need more of this. Don't expect to get a billion likes. It's reality. Big up Nas. Keep pushing.

well said bruh....
The labels got the game in a chokehold having them produce straight up back tracking music not no upgrading in sight when everyone just raps about killing each other and getting kids trapped in dealing life. Labels is smart corporate America is one thing corporate only goal is cash flow and if the generations is what they gotta sacrifice to guarantee a luxury life til death then that’s what they gonna keep on doing.
He finally got a Grammy he deserved it
Conscious rap is what helped us grow from boys to men, with mass respect for the culture.
You must understand that young people are more than olders and nas is old generation
Didn’t know what I was listening to as a kid...Nas made me different from my peers I’m forever grateful
@@ironsharpensiron3215 this does not get talked about enough. There is a myth that all hip hop was conceived to keep blacks/ghettos oppressed. I see this being said all the time, and from my perspective - I agree with my man above here.

Nas doesn’t get that much recognition because he’s not sold out like someone we know.

This is what I call the Gospel . I’m blessed and touched . The only reason Nas is getting lesser view is because the world is against the truth. No body want us to know the truth.

Facts! He is so influential and has a story to tell in each rhyme.
@@hhova29 Exactly! He's a pure legend 💯
This is my favorite song from the album Nasir.....It is not about the turn up....the jewelry, designer clothes, women, and cars....Nas has rapped about that in the past and sometimes he still does in the present but this message was so important and deep...dude is rapping in a Dashiki and a Kufi...he is rapping about his identity as a Black Man who evolved over the years...the things he has seen...and experienced....meanwhile the video gives us a bird's eye view of a life that would be considered ordinairy...a Grandmother with a few health problems is raising two grandsons...where are the parents?!?.. Where is her husband?!?....it looks like these people are no longer living....the older one takes a surrogate parent role...there is alot of love and compassion in the household but in a few minutes, that older grandson loses his life in a foolish misunderstanding that involves his homies, a store owner, and the Police...the grandmother can sense something in the air....Tragedy has struck again!
Yes Sir
Thank you for your elaboration. The songs lyrics are so meaningful and inspirational. The visual is of equal importance. The message made very clear.
If youre a blk man , you feel this song in your soul because you live this song daily. This is not just entertainment for us

Dark boy, don't you cry
There's too much life left in those eyes
Don't you let that face go waterfall
Until they learn to love you, scars and all

You just know your world and speak your truth
Let them come to you
For your love and your heart
So real stuff

I am telling you...this man is a true lyricist...his thoughts, demeanor, intelligence and humbleness is beyond compare....he has been ignored by mainstream way too long regarding recognition he deserves for his work....I love the fact he doesn't seem bothered by it....as long as the people receive his message, he's accomplished what he set out to do!!!! Love him....so underrated, but true hip-hop heads recognize him!!!!

I couldn't watch the end.. Too powerful. We need story tellers like Nas more than ever...
he is THE story teller. I can always visualize his lyrical movies. doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman .. the music/lyrics are relatable to the human race.
This probably the first time I shed a tear over the idea of it all. I am a part of this lifestyle and situation and its hard to feel it when you've just lived with it but with the movie cinematics and music behind the storyline made me see me more than ever. Nas did that.
Totally agree with u King!

That Kanye Nas collab was highly under appreciated.
MY MAN in traditional YORUBA garb.....taking it back "Home" and staying as Real, Authentic and Connected as ever. The attire TRULY made my ENTIRE weekend. Nas always got something to say, that’s why he’s my favorite mc... clear cut.
Nas always manages to hit people on a real level. Most of the shit he says in songs I've never experienced in my life, but I feel what he's saying. That's some powerful shit.
I have 2 sons... 10yrs apart... This video struck me deep. Nas is still the greatest.

How did I not watch this video til now!?!? People looked down on this album because of Kayne's antics. Kings Disease led me to this video. I always thought the Nasir album was great. Yeah I could tell the rush on it, but great talent is still great talent and raw greatness is still great! FR!

Real music people don't want to hear
This track did not only made me tear up but a lot of people don’t hear what nas is saying or people don’t give nas a lot of credit. I mean shit, this track made me tear up not cause I’ve been there, or seen it in person but because people who see the hood think that the people are dangerous or are criminals. And tbh that’s never gonna change. Cause people who are not from the streets or the hood, they’re always gonna see us different and will always assume that we’re doing something wrong. Nas is spitting real shit that happens in our daily lives. And I relate to the young man’s life. I basically don’t have parents cause they’re both addicts and I gotta take care of my two sisters and support them. I live in a dangerous community. And that’s the reason I like Nas, not because he’s a great MC but because he tells stories and says things that happen in our daily lives.
Nas thank you my guy... only a few mindz will be drawn to this... the illest

Nas you can't be blessing us with videos so quickly lol I am going to lose my job because this means more to me than them.
‘’When the media slings mud, we use it to build huts....’’ Nas is inspiring the people by saying that lies, hate and propaganda will come (he says ‘’When’’ not ‘’If’’). Instead of allowing this to beat people down, this should instead motivate and inspire individuals create and achieve great things. This is a great visual for ‘Everything’ partnered with the classic wordplay by Nas and top notch production by Kanye (despite Kanye’s major indiscretions of 2018).💯🗽🎙
