@@iforinsignificant I actually tried to watch the show, but I just couldn’t get into it as much as other people could. I think the hype ruined it for me as well
@@animeg1452 I guess it helped that I knew nothing about the show and had no expectations when I started watching it. The first couple of seasons aren't indicative of its overall quality in my opinion but they're still good. And the story is kinda dark, think like Lilith and Eda's story here but the character and relationship development is fantastic! Season 3 is so good, season 4 gets even better and season 5 is just about perfect. But yeah, that's subjective... so don't worry about it. I mean I don't like ATLA that much but everyone praises it to high heavens.
I'd still strongly recommend it though. Just don't go into it with any expectations and let it take you for a ride that's going to be frustrating, intriguing, touching and fun. The only problem I had with it was that it had inconsistent animation quality. Still I enjoyed it so much that it's an easy 10/10 for me. Some other shows (anime) I'd compare it to in terms of enjoyment and getting an emotional response out of me are: Hunter x Hunter, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon maid and One Punch Man. Just don't watch them dubbed...
@@iforinsignificant I’ll think about it. Thank you! Also, I am one of those people that praises ATLA to high heavens LOL you should watch some of the essays that people make based on the show. The detail, metaphors and symbolism in the series is beautifully done!

Seriously great editing! It's funny how some poorly edited amvs get millions of views and gems like this are watched by just a few thousand people. I wish I could hack the YT algorithm to recommend videos that people clearly put a lot of love and effort into. Until then I'll be sure to contribute a few hundred views by myself.
