You recorded this angle, this is originally yours? I just took it from the UA-cam archives. I can credit you if you would like, no problem with that. We just want to see Maxim Vengerov's awesome playing :)
@@DevilViolinist yes!! I was in the 2nd line. That was on Augost 2016. I've got anothers videos from that concert. I uploaded this video some days after the recital but was deleted.
wow the best I have ever heard I have been very happy when I can play the first 3 mmts in tune, but his swashbuckling musicality , sound, leaves Kremers , Hahns, in the dust
Well yes, the "original title" claims that it is merely an etude... so musicality isn't important when just looking at the notes on paper.... but of course you can turn it into something magical. I believe Master Vengerov here is performing it as an etude rather than a musical piece.
The recording is pretty good but I think you should listen to Midori Carnegie hall recording if you think this is the best ever. The ease in which she plays it is just mind blowing and plays it so musically.
i wouldnt call mediocre, and i am pretty sure he didnt practise hardcore. like bron said once: repin has to work hard, but vengerov is something from above :)
Not mediocre at all... he played this piece when he was 12 yo and thats the most accurate version up until now, you can find it online and buy it. The problem here is that he is starting to get old, but even as he gets old he still can play the most difficult pieces, while some other violinists get fame and stop practicing the hardest repertoire because they feel they dont need to.
Hey!! I recorded that!!! In Teatro Colon, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

A bit overrated… lol

Be gone demon!
piece or violinist?
This piece is ruthless.. it will have no mercy if you don’t practice it hardcore, as is shown in this mediocre performance by Vengerov.
