First off - VERY disapointed that the character quickly finishes most of the food. Was expecting a bit of a better view of them, at least. But! RDR isn't meant for "good-looking foods": it's "SHOOT 'EM WHERE THE SUN DON'T SHINE!" kind of game. Second - John Marston, becoming a food critic, for once? Damn! From an outlaw bandit to civilized official? Gee, I wonder how Jack will fare with this?... Third - "I'M HERBERT MOON!" (sorry, not sorry) Fourth - Out of all the foods, I could go for: Canned Corn Beef, Prime Rib, Chili, Roast Beef, Canned Salmon, and all cooked meats. The chili and roast beef look DAMN GOOD to eat! The canned corn beef and canned salmon, I could just cook 'em over a pot, turn them to stew or soup (good, either way). And eating cooked meats being held by a knife seems to be something of a thing for me now, though I only did this once during a camping trip (no harm were happened in the process). I thank ye both, John Marston and Arthur Morgan, for the campfire cookery via using a knife.

A heart does not have a specific taste of its own, unlike the liver (like eating a cup of sewage, I'd rather it was turned into pashtet (pate for you westerners)), so it is like eating a very lean and tough meat. Makes it good for sauteing or stewing, especialy with vegies and some basic (or advanced) seasoning. Source: my experience with a pig's heart.
