Hi mam .. in last 4 yrs..I have seen 2 babies given easy six ( 75th day dose) developed encephalopathy ( excessive sleepiness feeding only twice or thrice in a day / high irritability/ arching when made to lie in cradle position to feed- only expressed milk given)..
One baby had signs lasted for 5 days..another one for 2 weeks..
Practically. I made my decision not to force whole cell vaccine in private practice.. really exhausted in answering parents..& mainly not to make babies suffer
One child is 2 yrs now ..has disturbed sleep rhythm now..
Have seen convulsions also following whole cell vaccine..
Expecting senior paediatrician's opinion regarding adverse effects

When 2nd booster to be given to 8 & 12 yr old childre ,not vaccinated even with primary doses

(In bigger child like >7year) As per IAP in regular vaccination And catch-up of bigger child we are using accelullar inspite of somuch benefits of whole cell
