They were in WCW when WWE owned WCW and made the WCW belts a thing for a while just like they made the ECW belts a thing. They tried to revive ECW for a bit but it has none of the atitude that ECW had when it was an independent organization and it was then what NXT is today.
Still the WCW titles where active during the invasion.

this was very good promo between bully ray and devon. It's nice they referenced the final match they had together against MCMG back in turning point 2010. That was an awesome match.
Masato Tanaka in ECW back around late '98 kicked out of 3D during a PPV in a 6-person tag match with Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney...

This was a good segment but masato Tanaka was the first guy in ecw to kick out of the 3D 💯
And probably few more over the world in non-televised matches. Same as Goldberg's undefeated streak in WCW, even though he appeared as Bill Gold before that and lost few untelevised matches.

Bully Ray says he did what he did because Devon said "screw the fans". Didn't he also say that he did what he did because "Devon was weak" and referenced The Michaels and the Jannetty years prior?

To an extent. Devon actually did much better than Bubba in his singles run in TNA and that's before Bubba became World Champ.
@@zoukon1019 Yeah they gave Devon a nice run at the mid card. He was the best TV champion they had. It was a slow build for Bully Ray. One of the few things they did right was the Devon and Bully Ray’s singles runs.
2010-2012 were great years for TNA.

love the fact that tna brought up the previous storyline between them. and show why bully turned on d'von. it was one of those. ohhhh! it now makes sense moments. love them.
Mike Tenay mentioned WWE a couple times in 2005 when the Dudleys and Christian went to TNA. He also mentioned Wrestlemania a couple times when doing play by play I think during one of Raven's matches in 2003 or something. But its still shocking to hear the talent in TNA mention WWE in their promos regardless.
I think Bully Ray should be the new face of TNA. He has excelent mic skills, and he is an overall good wrestler!
This was the high of Devon career and will probably be the most relevant he ever was

That's what I was thinking too, when I heard this. But the Dudleys were members of the Team WCW/ECW Alliance back in 2001 in the WWF. And I don't know if Bully Ray, was also referring to a tag team doing something similar to their move back in WCW, but I can't remember anyone or any team doing it. But what I really do think about it is that Bully Ray slipped by saying the "WWE" word, and he tried to undo this by including ECW, WCW, etc...
