That could well be the case. Bottles once opened do often see better integration from flavours. We'll endevour to crack any future mini's that we're sampling.
Its really strong one in taste and definitely builds a lot of heat more like hard burning sensation in stomach and as you said.. it do brings the sweat around the forehead bit fast than any other usual spirits.
There is definitely something to be said about a whisky pulling in too many directions, and failing to have a single identity. It's not unlike the 'paradox of choice'. Another excellent review gents.
It’s all Indian 6 Row Barley. There is no Scottish Barley in any of the whiskies from Paul John. The Edited is NOT a blend of Indian and Scottish Barley, it’s only 6 Row Indian Barley. The slight peatiness in Edited is peat from Islay and Aberdeen. The Peat in Bold and Peated is from Islay.
This great restart I was waiting for, ...so long time.
Thank you for sharing together again✌🏼😁
Well done as always....
Greetings , Moses
Balcones Brimstone corn whiskey is smoked POST distillation using local Texas mesquite wood I believe.
It actually sounds like it might benefit from a full bottle being allowed some air time and letting the peat integrate somewhat.

Informative review gentlemen. Great insight. Gives one food for thought. Fruit wood may very well be a good choice.
Excellent opening.

I was thinking horse stable, in the most positive way
For me the whiskys smoked with other woods don’t taste good. I can’t wait to give this a try as I got it for $55.
