As a new cricut owner literally 3 days new 😅.. I wish design space had more training/practice with the samples it gave you in the box. The only thing it walked me through was the small card stock and pick your design you want the maker to cut. I wish it did more of those with all the samples provided, including fabric, and the other materials because I’m seriously finding myself in a struggle! 😩
Honestly, it makes me want to put it right back in the box and not try. It is quite overwhelming and NOT user-friendly. I realize it doesn't help that I am not good with technology, but still it is very frustrating! I thought I would have a "Sample" project to do with those things they sent, too.

I bought an Air 2 couple of day's after Thanksgiving. Just received this week. In the process I bought a maker. Now I have 2 cricut machines that I am not sure how to use. This was a wonderfully put together tutorial and was so easy to follow. You kept it straight forward and to the point. I had the original Cricut back in the day with the cartridges and I had purchased the software however it was not formatted for Mac back then and the whole thing was so cumbersome. I just bought a new Cricut Explore Air 2 and an Easy Press 2 and it is like night and day difference. I was not sure though on how to start with the software and being a graphic design major I am familiar with a lot of the language but didn’t know where to start. New to the cricut cutting world! I've always wanted one of these to whip up cute last minute (because she forgets to tell me) shirts for my daughter for school and so my hubby came through this Christmas! In the video the example you show downloading from your Makers Gonna Learn site and zipping into a new project it shows cutting it on 2 mats. I plan to cut mostly vinyl so should I invest in multiple mats? Which ones should I buy, light grip or heavier? Do you have a video that shows how to cut that project using 2 different mats and how do I get them together to put on a shirt? Thank you!!

The thing that I appreciated most about this video was that you didn’t move the arrow so fast that I lost it. I was able to follow the arrow from point a to point b and actually see where each function was located.

Just ordered the Maker to cut acrylic sheets for face shields to be used by doctors, nurses, firefighters, etc. I’ll be using 8 1/2 x 11 sheets that I need to cut holes in exact locations to fit on the 3D printed headband that holds the visor. Is placement of items on the mat based to the rulers exact or will I have to play around to get the alignment? Great video by the way!

I got my new circut maker. I made a book mark, what i couldnt understand was that the writing moved when i went to press make for example i had the writing going down when making it the writing moved to going across instead. Any advice as it prints in a diff place then what originally measured in the app

Hello! So, any good quality Laptop, desktop, tablet, or phone can be used with our membership and Design Space :) We prefer MAC, but as long as you don't plan on using a cheap chromebook or anything like that, you'll be fine! :)

Ours does that sometimes too... I'm not sure what the cricut trouble shooting tips are, but we usually will take our blade out and put it back in, make sure there's nothing in the way of the gears. Sometimes we even go back to cutting paper or vinyl with the fine point blade then go back and try to have the machine recognize the rotary blade.

We highly recommend Macbook Pros, but really any good quality laptop will do the job. Just don't get a super cheap one... you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to electronics!

This was a wonderfully put together tutorial and was so easy to follow. You kept it straight forward and to the point. I had the original Cricut back in the day with the cartridges and I had purchased the software however it was not formatted for Mac back then and the whole thing was so cumbersome. I just bought a new Cricut Explore Air 2 and an Easy Press 2 and it is like night and day difference. I was not sure though on how to start with the software and being a graphic design major I am familiar with a lot of the language but didn’t know where to start. New to the cricut cutting world! I've always wanted one of these to whip up cute last minute (because she forgets to tell me) shirts for my daughter for school and so my hubby came through this Christmas! In the video the example you show downloading from your Makers Gonna Learn site and zipping into a new project it shows cutting it on 2 mats. I plan to cut mostly vinyl so should I invest in multiple mats? Which ones should I buy, light grip or heavier? The thing that I appreciated most about this video was that you didn’t move the arrow so fast that I lost it. I was able to follow the arrow from point a to point b and actually see where each function was located.

Just ordered the Maker to cut acrylic sheets for face shields to be used by doctors, nurses, firefighters, etc. I’ll be using 8 1/2 x 11 sheets that I need to cut holes in exact locations to fit on the 3D printed headband that holds the visor. Is placement of items on the mat based to the rulers exact or will I have to play around to get the alignment? Great video by the way!

I hope you haven't wasted your money joining Makers gonna learn. There is nothing that actually shows you anything. And if you see something you'd like to make, you have to dish out more money and be charged monthly! Just search youtube which is free

I got my new circut maker. I made a book mark, what i couldnt understand was that the writing moved when i went to press make for example i had the writing going down when making it the writing moved to going across instead. Any advice as it prints in a diff place then what originally measured in the app

Hello! So, any good quality Laptop, desktop, tablet, or phone can be used with our membership and Design Space :) We prefer MAC, but as long as you don't plan on using a cheap chromebook or anything like that, you'll be fine! :)

I just bought my new Cricket machine. My question: Can I go to Design Space from different devices? My grandson's laptop (😁) as well as my Amazon Kindle Fire 10". Tanner, my maker will not recognize my rotary blade any longer. I used the trouble shooting tips on cricut but am having no success. HELP!!
Ours does that sometimes too... I'm not sure what the cricut trouble shooting tips are, but we usually will take our blade out and put it back in, make sure there's nothing in the way of the gears. Sometimes we even go back to cutting paper or vinyl with the fine point blade then go back and try to have the machine recognize the rotary blade.

You should see your layers panel on the right side of your canvas. Select all of your letters when you have them where you like, then click "weld" :)

What laptop do you recommend affordable
We highly recommend Macbook Pros, but really any good quality laptop will do the job. Just don't get a super cheap one... you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to electronics!
