Not sure how I ended up here,..I ate an edible , and found myself mesmerized watching this tumbler spin for the last 20 minutes .😂
Me too!
you all probably dont care but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb lost the password. I appreciate any tricks you can give me
@Salvatore Alexander Instablaster :)
@Lee Wesley thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process now.
Seems to take a while so I will reply here later with my results.
@Lee Wesley it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. Im so happy!
Thanks so much, you saved my account !
Not gonna lie... at the end of the glitter step, I thought it wasn’t very MilkyWay-ish... then the paint drizzles, I wasn’t convinced with that either... then as it started to swirl and blend, it totally transformed into a beautiful thing! I am truly impressed! It’s stunning! 💙
Thank you so much!!
I agree it’s crazy how it morphed @ the end!! Amazing!!!
And when you say " You cant mess this up" thank you for the words of encouragement.
Abyss is pronounced “ah-BISS” it refers to a deep chasm usually in the ocean.
i was just going to say that lmao
Beat me to it..
I was like really?? Lol when she pronounced it wrong. The color is everything!! And the name fits perfect
@@memefann8808 Not everyone can pronounce everything perfectly, especially if you’ve never heard of it before. 🤦🏽♀️
@@nicolecarr4237 whew thank God you came here to let us all know!!!
Love this technique! Looks amazing. Just an FYI, a respiratory is needed when using epoxy due to the toxic gas released during the curing process! For your safety please invest!
34 seconds in and I am mesmerized with the spinning glittery Grinch cup
Hunter Chapman wait, That’s NOT a smiley face.... wooo ho ho ho... lol
Literally same! I love it!
Abyss - "uh-BIS" or /əˈbis/
"the great abyss." A deep chasm. And in your case... a gorgeous color!
was thinking the sameeeee thing lol
Lmao yes!
Yes........ my handbag when I am looking for my car keys LOL
and also a great movie 😁
I couldn’t get past that either! I came to the comments just to make sure someone else mentioned it LOL!
OMG! I am in love with this Milky Way effect. I was worried at first, I won't lie...Stop touching! Stop touching!....lol....but dang girl you killed it! BEAUTIFUL!!!!
Just a note for ones safety while working with epoxy, please consider wearing a face mask/ breathing apparatus. I know a few people who are quite ill after using epoxy. It took a little time to realize why they were ill but now they can't go near the stuff.
Take care.
Pretty tumbler!!💜
LilyMar the only reason you would need to wear a respirator when working with epoxy is if you are one of the rare people that are allergic to it. Otherwise epoxy has no VOC’s and you do not need a respirator.
@@Acanders1980 i know 3 people that became very ill after working with epoxy. It doesn't hurt to wear a breathing mask just to be on the safe side.
How many things out there were considered once upon a time to be safe only to find out years later that things are toxic? Finally, only after enough people get sick enough or die from whatever it is do they finally have to put warning labels on things. I just think its better to be safe than sorry. If you are an adult, do as you like. To warn people us not a bad thing.
Respirator police!!! Lol. Everyone knows you should wear one and she usually does. It’s almost like some ppl watch these vids just to say this. It’s hilarious. Smh
I was SO nervous but I watched this video so many times before I did my first tumbler ever that I could literally hear your voice saying “you cannot mess this up it’s gonna look beautiful” and it was so reassuring 😂❤️ You’re awesome and your tumblers are amazing!
Glad I could help! Thank you!!
Can these tumblers be used x
That tumbler looked like crap with just the glitter than..... Poof....Magic happened. Great job, great tutorial. Will definitely try this method.
I think this is my favorite example of a milky way I've seen so far! All others have just left me feeling meh, but your tutorial has really made me want to try it. Thank you for sharing!!!
Me to been nervous to try to do one
Sadly Ms I don't see any description box in the upper right corner maybe it's because this is a 4-year-old video I'm not sure but I don't see it the Tumblers look awesome thank you so much😊
Absolutely Beautiful! This is definitely a “trust the process” method but so worth it. Can’t wait to try this. Thank you!
Please wear proper ppe as well. I have beens sick for over a month now bc I didn't wear a mask when using the epoxy!!!! Educate yourself people. This can be a major health hazard.
I watched your video about how sick it made you. I am so sorry you had to go thru that! Thank you for posting it!! I also wonder about when artists use a flame to "break open" the bubbles or "create cells" whether or not that is toxic as well. There is a chemical change that takes place, sooo it might be something worth going outside to do, or wear a mask while using the torch.(?)
@@lilymcalister1825 that wasn't my video hun but I watched the same video your talking about. I just want everyone to be aware that safety should always come first!! By these people posting videos and not wearing proper safety equipment is just gonna harm other's and their health.
How long were you doing tumblers before you got sick?
@@Brendalee2244 not very long at all. Like a handful of times. Maybe 10 times
Karen Walker if you don’t mind me asking what were your symptoms? This makes me very nervous about not using the proper equipment

First off, you have the best tutorials on UA-cam. I do have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to. How long should you spin your tumbler before placing it on a drying rack to free up your spinner? Thanks in advance!
About 4 hours.
**New Sub** I just bought a tumbler turner and I can’t wait to use it🤗 you did an awesome job, this turned out amazing❤️ tfs
Love this video. Made a beautiful green milky way after watching this!
I was watching nail art. How did I get here?
The glitter looked like a hot mess at first but after drizzling the paint it came out amazing!
Leslie Granillo that’s why you trust the process
😂😂😂😂😂 I Was Thinking That, Too
I just made a glitter tumbler but it looks horrible, hence the reason I am researching the milky way effect
How would you direct a person interested in doing this as a hobby and a way of making money? What is the very 1st step?
Where to purchase tumblers?
I’ve seen spinners on Michaels website, but, is a home made one like yours better? BTW, I’m Kristy.
Oh my gosh, at first I was like...how is this going to turn out cute? Then once you did the paints, and i see the glitter peaking through!!!! Wow gorgeous.
I absolutely love the way this turned out. I love the milky way effect on anything. I guess because I am obsessed with space. Lol. Thank you for showing this. I am def going to have to try this. And you just got a new sub.
This is gorgeous! How do you clean up the inside of the cup after?? I noticed you didn't tape it so I'm wondering how it came out ??
Please tell us how you get a smooth edge on top
Can u drink in these tumblrs once they are completed?
Helen Hall once these are properly cured, generally 3 days, they're safe to drink from. If you feel like you want them to cure longer, you can. I waited about 3-4 weeks on mine. Partially because I didn't want to drop it before it was fully cured. It was my personal cup.
Omgggggggg. 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗😘🍩🦄🦄🦄
This is an amazing cup . The cup is so amazing and it’s so satisfying whenever you drizzle it
That ending process gave me anxiety.
When you took the popsicle stick and just went wild, i was frozen 🫣
Beautiful cup! Due to the current stuff going on, I am not able to find 91 percent alcohol anywhere... Can I use Everclear instead?? I use it or Vodka when baking for watercolor effects...wasn't sure if it would work here or not... Thanks...really enjoying your tutorials!
One word for your art...
B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!!!!!!
I’m in love with the Grinch tumbler.... once I saw that, it’s all I could watch!💚💚💚
Gorgeous but Girl why ARE YOU NOT WEARING A MASK? you are using harsh chemicals and they are odourless.
is there a difference in using Denatured Ethyl 95% alcohol, instead of 91% isopropyl alcohol? I purchased ethyl 95%. Thanks in advance!
Idk if this was asked or not, but I THOUGHT I had 91% alcohol... Will 50% Isopropyl Alcohol work?
dont have an automatic turner so I took my apple corer/peeler and stuck a piece of good heavy duty cusion foam, skewered it onto the peeler and away I went!! You might need an extra hand with an arm attached to help out with the tuning... but hey, i made do.
You are so talented! I want to make these so bad but I just don’t have the patients for all the drying time 😂
Lela.... How do you get your epoxy to level out? Every time I’ve attempted Milky Way.... it dries so wavy and bumpy. Any help would be appreciated on that.
Also a respirator type mask so you don’t breath in the toxic fumes from the RESIN and epoxy.
I would love one of these but I don't have the patience or money for all those supplies.
THIS IS BEAUTIFUL!! 😍 and so satisfying to watch!!
Can you use 70%rubbing alcohol for spritz?
Could I use mica powders instead of acrylic paint? I don't have as many acrylic paint options as I do mica powders.
Great video thank you!! In the pic you have another Milky Way tumbler ( pink) , what glitter and paints did you use or that one?
Loved
This was so helpful! Thank you for explaining everything so thoroughly! Beautiful cup!
Beautiful! It is nice to see someone encourage others to have fun, to enjoy the process, while demonstrating that! Having a fearless, adventurous approach is the best way to learn how to create a work of art, as You have done. Well Done. Thank You for sharing (the links to the products used too).
Thank you so much for the kind words!!
No respirator? ....love the cup tho. I suggest wearing one who because u said our doing like 5 cups at a time! I’m not trying to be that person but that’s super bad fumes to be breathing in!
I love this tumbler. I do have one question. By final step did not turn out as beautiful as yours. The painted epoxy lines did not blend as nicely as yours for that true galaxy look. Most of them are still hard lines, some started to blend but not all. Do you have any advice about what I may have done wrong?
Abyss = ah-biss as in a deep, endless chasm
Sorry, it just pulled me from the interesting video.
I want this tumbler. How much do you charge for one like this ?
At the end... wen you spray the 99% Alcohol thats it??? Does it just dry like that? Or do you have to apply anything else on it?
Where do you get the sublimation sheets that you are selling?Thank you.
Very Beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
As I watched this for a while I looked up and literally my TV was moving lol
Finally someone got it right, use the alcohol.....very pretty
As I was watching this I was like, this is going to be a train wreck…. Then I was like ohhh well maybe it will get better. Then I was left in shock. It looks beautiful!
I know I'm way late to this video, but I wanted to say thank you. I have been struggling to figure out how to get an idea I have in my head for a tumbler to translate onto the tumbler and I think your video helped ke figure out how to do that. Thank you so much!
Abyss is pronounced: ahbiss
When she said Abby's, I was like... wtf. lol
I came to see if anyone was going to tell her how to pronounce abyss. lol
Hi! Can I do a milky way tumbler with alcohol ink? Would i do it the same way? Thank you!
That’s AMAZING, I really learned a LOT
Your tumbler turned out beautiful! I’m new to making these I just ordered my Turner, I was wondering can you use Alcohol inc to make this?
Just so you know the word abyss is pronounced “uh-biss”
It means the depths of the ocean
So you don’t have to sand it smooth and add another epoxy layer for final seAl....... I’m new
Very beautiful quick and efficient ❤! Love it
Hi! Do you have to use acrylic paint for the milky way effect or can you use alcohol ink as well?
Hi Lila
The last glitter lol I think it’s pronounced “uh-biss” like a big empty hole
Here (10:27) I thought that you ate the epoxy off your finger..... oops
It was disgusting at first but as Tim goes by it looks better but the end looks pretty but gross
God Bless everyone and God loves everyone Amen ❤️🙏🏽
what if i don't have spray paint? can i airbrush it with acrylic paint?
Hello, do you have any Turner brands suggestions, thanks
SpencersCreations5 on Etsy. Use code KISS15 to receive 15% off your order!
It’s a nice marble however it’s not a milky way. A Milky Way has purples, pinks and blacks in it.
It’s not called Milky Way because of the galaxy. That’s just the name of the certain design in the tumbler world. 🙂
How much Epoxy did you use in the beginning?
Do you have a video for the Grinch tumbler?
When at the alcohol point, you say inks, but you didnt use ink ??
That's absolutely amazing
So beautiful!! But what kind of tumblers do you use? Can you use coffee mugs? Great instructions and thank you!🌷🌷❤️💐
Please check out my description 😊
It’s a frozen cup! Absolutely the most beautiful I have seen out there!
could you do a video on the machine you use to spin the tumbler please. the girlfriend wants to try making these and i haven't got a clue how to build the machine for her
Buy 1 on Amazon for $25. Less expensive and frustrating than building one.
I hope mine will be as beautiful . I have to try this
Okay, I've done a Milky Way once before but this time I used a lot of chunky glitter. Does the tumbler need to be smoother before moving to flood coat and drizzle? TIA
You can sand lightly if not smooth. But don't worry about it too much if it isn't perfectly smooth.
This tumbler is the true definition of “trust the process”... it came out beautiful😍
Will 70 % alcohol work the same has 99%??
Love all your tumblers! I just started making these and need advise. I am trying to get a camouflage effect but cannot find olive green or army green alcohol ink. What do you recommend? Can I mix colors like we do acrylic?
You can mix them together. Also, try Tim Holtz, they have so many alcohol ink colors!
Would it be the same process to make a dog water pail?
Does the cup need to be smooth before you start the acrylic paint swirls? I added 15 mls of epoxy after my glitter and I feel like the glitter just absorbed it and it’s not very smooth. I was thinking the next big coat would smooth it out and it would be fine but I’m not sure!
Sand it lightly. Very lightly. Then you can add the acrylic paints. It wont ruin the design
So I made this and mine is like bumpy and there’s a couple spots where the epoxy almost didn’t cover the glitter. So did I actually mess it up lol? It’s my first one ever so idk if I just need a thicker coat of epoxy???
You didn’t mess it up at all. Just sand it down a title with 220 sanding block or paper and re epoxy! 😊
What color blue is the spray paint?
Cup looks amazing... Please remember to let ppl know you should always us a mask when using epoxy.
A lot has changed since this video. 😉
This is beautiful. Thank you.
I want one! I do not have the space or money for another craft/art project. Lol
I’m assuming you sanded this before adding paints correct?
Yes
I had always thought these tumbler were a bit pricey but now seeing the work and time involved it makes sense. Those are pretty cool...you do some awesome work...
Thank you!!!
Tried to make this and my paint with epoxy did NOT swirl or anything it just stayed in place😭😭😭
I’m sorry to hear that! You may have not added enough epoxy on your tumbler. You need a thicker coat so your paint is able to move around. Try again and don’t worry, I’ve messed up plenty tumblers.
This looks great! Can you combine alcohol ink *and* glitter, somehow?
Yes. You can. Just place them right into epoxy then apply to the tumbler.
Just curious, I got some incredible pink glitters in. Would it be okay to use them to make a pink, gold and rose gold milky way?
Yes.
I do apologize if this question was asked and if you have answered but there are 558 comments to go through. Can these tumblers after the magic has been created go in the dishwasher?
Stainless steel tumblers are preferred to be hand wash only. But, I have washed mine in the dishwasher, on the top shelf and they are fine. Not recommended though.
Thanks for the tutorial. This is my second viewing. I had a failed milky way. But I was trying to save a cup and the swirls of the colored epoxy was too much. So when I applied the white trying to save it, I think it went the wrong way. I'm left handed. So it's a royal mess. But I will try to remove that white and do some black, red and gold swirls, going the right way.
At least you know what happens when it spins the opposite way - LOL. Great experience
@@dianahardy5922 Yup! It suddenly dawned on me that perhaps being lefty had it pitfalls. I just have to do as normal. Reverse things in my mind. What a life🤣🤣🤣
