Here’s the funny story behind this show:
So after the release of Squid Game, Mr. Beast had pitched a show to Netflix where it would basically be his UA-cam challenges just even grander. Despite this, Netflix refused, saying there was “no audience for it”.
Afterwards, Mr. Beast created his real life Squid Game video, garnering a staggering 300 million views, which made Netflix retaliate by creating their own reality show themed around Squid Game.

Well the thing I hated about the MrBeast squid game was that it moved too fast. There was no breathing room and we never got to hear what the people in the game thought. That's why I think this could be better.

In a recent event to celebrate SG wins at the Emmys, the director said that season 2 will only be ready in 2025. He is still writing it. Knowing he is such a perfectionist, he will write it till he is fully satisfied. Season 2 will be as super since it's not being rushed just for the sake of money.

Am I the only one who can't help but imagine just HOW many different types of people can get into this reality show version of Squid Game? The two biggest requirements here are to prove that you're a living person of the age of 21; you'd expect something like this to be more regulated if it were a different company, so those really are bare minimums.

By diverse I mean people from all parts of the world, who are actual people not youtubers or influencers who applied for exposure - but people who are genuine about the dynamics and game play! 🙂

Ok this show is actually my favorite live action show. Something about it is just so beautiful to me. My favorite part is in the first ep when the rlgl girl is killing everyone, while the front man just listens to music and has a drink. It's so dark yet satisfying.

It's a dayum shame I've never even watched a single video of Squid Game.
The second season will likely take place in america rather than korea, as the price is now in dollars. At the end of the first season, Gi-hun realizes that the squid games are moving from country to country, and travels to america to stop them from happening again by posing as a guard. This is made evident because of his hair being dyed red at the end of season 1.
