I did this modification a few minutes ago on my DR. Works great as advertised and couldn't be easier. Couldn't find them at two different Walmarts but I did find them on Amazon for a few dollars more. If I hadn't already driven to two different Walmarts the gas money would have made the difference. Thanks for this suggestion. I do believe it will be safer.
I’m glad you like them. They have the BMW cool factor, and may save your tail. Wallymart has issues for sure keeping things stocked. Mine had them and I just put them on my ….. Thanks for letting me know.
With the price of fuel nowadays. You really have to add that into the purchase price. I' glad that it worked out for you. It is a simple upgrade that adds safety and much coolness to the bike.
Thanks for the review. Always nice to have someone spending their money to try things out so I don’t have to. 😁 Haven’t seen you in a while and was wondering if you were doing okay. You’re one of the few that I will stop what I’m doing to watch the new video. Stay safe.
Hey there Calvin, it's great to see a comment from you. I hope you have been doing well also. I had to take a break in riding/posting to make some room in the garage and get my money back out of the excess KLR's and a DRZ400 that I had purchased, A lot of painting and wrenching but I'm happy to say I can walk through the garage and just have one nice KLR. Thank you for the comment, you are too kind. A few things coming up I am really excited about. Take care.
Ah, the problem of excess. I’m doing well, thanks for asking. I believe that I was in the process of selling my house and moving the last time we conversed. I have accomplished that and settled in back where I grew up around Hendersonville, NC. Sure have missed the mountains. Been to busy for the most part to get any riding in, but fall of the year is the best time for riding. I will check Wally World for those lights. I put a Kuryakan flasher on my Road King and am really happy with it. Like Doc650 said below, it’s all about safety.
@@CalvinBradley Hi Calvin, I pulled Hendersonville, up on the map, you are not far from DOC, I believe? I'm hoping to do an east coast ride next year if I can get the time off. I would like nothing better than to shake your hand and enjoy a coffee, breakfast or burger with you if that sounds like something you would be interested in? Yes, we have excess for sure. You don't realize it until you start getting rid of things. Take care CB.
@@verbalwidget7267 i would love to meet up with you and any others that could make it . even traveling a bit would be fine. Let me know and i'll be happy to send my number to you
Great info VW! I put a LED tail light in the DR650 but it does not have the cool features of these bulbs. Visibility is an essential task when out on the road. Looks like I will have to head down to the Walmart and get some of those. Thanks for sharing this info! Cheers!
DOC!!!! Definitely worth it I feel, a lot of features for the low price. Anything that helps to get the attention of other drivers from running up your tail, is a good thing. I also like the fact that that it elevates the lowly KLR650 to BMW status with a flashing brake light too🙄. I figured I'd pick up another pack? You never know when you may need two of them and two LED headlight bulbs? Wink wink!😉😂🤣
Thanks VW - I'll be picking up a set of those. What's kept me away from these kinds is the additional wiring & stuff that goes with the LED's. Thanks brother & glad to hear from you !!! Cheers !
Ha! It still may happen. Grandpa here forgot about the Eric video I uploaded a few nights ago. I have had a lot going with other things in the works. It was a nice surprise to see I had a double feature.
Hey there. Sorry if you covered but I put this in my 99 klr 650 but now my taillight does not stay lit 24x7, but this new bulb and feature work. Does your taillight still stay lit 24x7 with this bulb? I could have sworn it should be. Ty again. Ps the package came with two bulbs. Maybe I used the wrong one?
Thank you from tucson. Exactly what i was looking for.
Do you have a brand name? Amazon is silly with these, each does something a little different.
Mine still working great in the KLR and DR650. Sorry no name for the bulb. OBI-WAN did a video on them too maybe check out his past videos.
Wal Mart has them locked behind glass in the auto department if you haven't picked one up yet. Sorry for the late reply.

Thank you OW, I like the simple "plug and play" myself too. Good to pass stuff like this along to the group. Could really make the difference.

Nm. Seems I turned it to the left and when i locked it in place turning the other way it works. Ty again for video.
All good easy fix. I have them in all my bikes. I think it is worth it.
