Is there any real point to do aoe damage to mobs aside from just amping up meters? Would like to have your clearcasting aura and the lunatic gaze one as well.
99,99 of people that will try this will have threir tank dead, their buddie MC'd, their mana gone before p3 even starts, and the guardians will heal yogg for millions. I respect the pump though, even though i will never get to do this on my mage. Great video as always
I mean parsing is all about the group. He's doing nothing special here. But they are doing yogg 0 and just have a group of pumpers. The moment you realize how dependent parsing is on your group, thats the moment you stop to care so much for parses

I have 2 questions if you don't mind. 1: What is the addon or weak aura at the very top of your screen that shows innervate, PI and HoP CDs? 2: There is a lot of pressure from my guild to go fire because appearantly all the evidence points towards that being the best/most damage or whatever. That is very much in contrast to the Vid you put out some time ago that said that overall in phase 2, arcane does consistently more damage. Who is right? It depends on the fight really, and for yogg 0 specifically fire is usually better since it can help a lot with cleaving down the adds. but in this raid theyre running a ret and a fire mage (plus passive cleave from dks) so maybe they thought that would be enough add dmg. but maybe he just wanted an arcane parse lol
addon is mrt, and as for arcane vs fire, Ive always recommended fire for certain fights and arcane for others, but once you have 4pc, you can go fire even for ST tank and spank if you want. Most all fights have some sort of cleave for LB whoch gives extra hotstreak procs and closes the gap between fire and arcane, which is something the sim ofc doesnt account for, so fire is performing better than what we were seeing with the sim, even for fights that seem like ST tank and spanks.
Which addon/WA are you using for the character portrait bars? I like keeping default portrait frames like you have in the top left but would also like the ones you have in the middle.

What were the Flamestrikes for between transition from killing brain to Yogg being targetable? Are you able to hit the brain from up top with that???
nah just extra dps by precasting them so the floor dot is there on transition

Luna Unit Frames, and I modify default frames ro show hp numbers with ct unit frames

overkill damage (once they're at 1 hp) doesnt count but otherwise yes all dmg to their hp counts
