if the engine is not burdened with Coil, the engine will work fine. but when given the load the engine coil becomes problematic and the words Overcurrent coil appear, and the threshold sound disappears

Having worked for electronics OEMs serial numbers can be misleading.
High integer values are used to mislead (boost) customer confidence that a system/part is “tried and true”

So in your opinion, pending on the serial number of GPX 4500 and what mods get done, it will be a far better detector than a standard GPX 5000?

The mods can be adjusted as to what edition the detector is to compensate for the different components.

Lower the value of the current sense resistor near the output diodes.
