The last 10 min of this video are gold! Tom, could you create a series of videos where you are actively prospecting and fishing. The mistakes, the active learning and adapting- the world wants more.
Thanks, Tom, for explaining some of the "work" that goes into successful trout fishing. Any info that can make the work more productive is always appreciated. I learned some valuable lessons.
On Tom’s podcast he said he only fishes flies he’s tied himself. If you goog “rubber leg pheasant nail nymph,” you’ll find a number of vendors selling similar flies.

Thank you, as a noob fly fisher in CO, this helps immensely. Aside from taking expensive lessons with a guide, it’s hard to know where to start.
Love to watch this videos and then reread the books.
Wish I could go fishing with Tom!
Great advise. Appreciate the great videos!
Beautiful video
Thanks for sharing these tips, as always. What set-up is Tom using nearer to the end of the video? Thanks! 🎣
thanks for the tips!
So many people need to watch this video lol. People sneek into private parts of rivers here in Idaho and get shot at and wonder why lol.
What fly are you using at 23:06 ?
