Rest in Peace, Steve. Your brilliant methods in recording and producing those legendary albums will be remembered forever....

I've always admired Albini for how surgical he is with language and how he's seemingly allergic to hyperbole. He's like a scientist that way. Hearing the despair and pain in his voice in the first chunk of this interview was even more shocking to me than hearing him misspeak for the the first time in the dozens of hours I've listened to him talk.

well, if there's one positive that Covid's given us, it's at the very least more time for Steve to go on podcasts. Which I always have time to listen to.

RIP Steve, the world would be a little different without your influence. I like it this way.

One reason Steve is generous with his audio knowledge is that no one else but another weirdo who geeks out on mic frequency response or patterns wants to hear it.
I got a head full of audio crap and no one understands it or wants to hear it. I long to spill it out.

"Nuetralize them, censor them, ban them, make it so they can't get jobs. I wouldn't even debate them." - Steve Albini on Trump supporters.
How very punk rock. Never forget how inclusive, tolerant and open minded the left is, unless you practice "wrong-think" - in that case they will destroy you and likely your family as well.
Note: I fully expect this comment to be deleted as censorship is the refuge of those who hate the truth.

      I guess it's a question of definitions, one man's 'wrong-think' is another's attempted insurrection.
