It's so funny how getting 2 playoff byes doesn't get accounted for, would beating worse teams in the wild card make any difference? Apparently it does because this is a one-sided matchup and there isn't much to talk about. The Steelers won by scoring zero TDs in their first game, needing every bit of Boswell being perfect and Tucker missing multiple field goals and recovering 2 fumbles.
That's exactly what happened to Peyton too. The Colts kept being 1 or 2 and getting a bye so the first game he played in each postseason was against better teams than the QBs in the wildcard round faced. Contrast that with Flacco where the Ravens were always sneaking into the playoffs so Joe would rack up wins against lesser teams in the wildcard round. He was labeled 'January Joe' before he won the Super bowl.
Lamar is the youngest 2x mvp in history. He was losing in the playoffs at 21 and 22 years old. He is 1 and 1 in the wild card round 1 and 2 in the divisional and 0 and 1 in the championship game through age 27 years old, before Derrick Henry got there. It's strange to focus on his playoff performances when twice he had the 1 seed and advanced without stats. Unprecedented accomplishments are usually celebrated, not framed in failure.
Yea it's like he gets penalized for getting the bye. Fact is in 4 playoff trips he's made at least the divisional round 3 of the 4 times and if you look at his trajectory he's improved with each trip.
He’s actually 1-0 in the wild card. 2019 he had a bye, 2020 he beat Tennessee, 21 his season ended in November, same For 22 where Huntley lost the wild card, then he had a first round bye in 2023
Zero big time throws in the first game? How many were called back by penalty? It took 100 yards in Penalties, 7 points worth of missed kicks, home field advantage, and multiple turnovers for the Steelers to beat this team by 2 points. When the teams have a more even number of penalties and turnovers it suddenly doesn't look so close.
Penalties are a Ravens thing at this point but Justin Tucker being that bad is not & the interception that came from ripping the ball out of Justice Hills hands was just an all time great play…outside of that the Ravens had that game by at least 7pts
Ravens/Lamar had the “breakthrough” against the Titans in 2020. Also had a great win against Houston last season. There’s no narrative here. Ravens will dominate Saturday night.
People aren’t taking into consideration that this is the best version of Lamar Jackson that we’ve ever see. So I don’t really care how he matched up against the Steelers in years past. That Lamar wasn’t as good as current Lamar.

Why isn’t Harbaugh held accountable? When other teams lose in the playoffs it’s coaching or the game plan but the Ravens coaching staff is always given a pass and it’s always what Lamar didn’t do.

Bro 2 plays stoped the Steelers from whooping that ass week 16. A run fumble and pick 6… both things can be cleaned up and Lamar still fumbled and throws picks against Steelers. See y’all Saturday
Why? If you lose, you lose. Doesn't matter when. The more games you have, more experience. Lamar clearly turns into a different QB in the playoffs. It is fine. He is a Peyton Manning in the playoffs, not Eli.

I’m curious what happens after this game. These are the two longest tenured Coaches and one of them is gonna have another solid Regular season and Playoff Disappointment. I’m a Ravens Fan I thought last year was our year and Harbaugh Would have walked away on the top of the mountain and McDonald was the heir apparent bump him up and everyone’s fine. George Pickens didn't do much in the game where the Steelers won. Everybody's like 'George Pickens' like he's some kind of deciding factor. The Ravens also had a touchdown called back in that first game. We don't even need to really talk about the second game. Pass underneath and run Derrick Henry on this until they croak. Play good defense on a struggling offense, 'easy' Ravens dub.
REALLY DELUSIONAL. Pickens had 8 catches for 95 yards and his presence opens up this offense. He torches old Man Humphrey who is terrified of Pickens. Without Flowers, the Ravens will go 12 personnel and use Likely and Andrews I can see the Steelers in their 3 Safety package with Minkah and Elliott playing close to the Line to contain King Henry and LJ8 and the TE's. Steelers 24 -20.
@@MrFreshEdition I don't know what game you watched, but Pickens wasn't why the Steelers won the game - y'all settled for field goals. Not sure how that makes me 'delusional.'
