- Here's an evening ride in real-time on my regular bus route, the CTA #77-Belmont. It is a very long bus route, running from Lake Shore Drive to Cumberland Ave (from about 400 W to almost 10000W on the city grid system). I most often ride the segment shown here, from Lake Shore Drive/Sheridan Road to Sheffield, the cross-street closest to the Red/Brown/Purple Line 'L' station. The bus is a NovaBus LFS model, and features CTA's automatic stop-announcement system and LED signs-- very handy!
@sheff112 Perfectly safe. I do it all the time. However, it doesn't go to Lincoln Park. You'd want the 151 to get there from Belmont.
Hey how safe is this bus route. I am planning to take it from belmont to lincoln park and back around midnight on a friday. Do you think is a good idea?
I remember the double trolley bus on this line. It also used to terminate at Octavia, one block west of Harlem.
NovaBus LFS (2000-01) makes up the entire #56 and #77 routes, right??
Wow I admire your confidence to freely film like you do, I think it's great
Do other passengers often seem disturbed or stare at you because you're filming?
Wasn't this novabus model delivered in 2000-2001?
MPIEMDRailfan yes
Yes they were manufactured in 2000-2002 so right now their retirement is almost completed
2002
