This is the biggest design flaw with back nines, I don’t really mind the fact that they take 1 hour to finish, they’re optional after all. What I do mind is the fact that if you crash or disconnect, you get absolutely nothing and have to start everything all over again, effectively wasting one hour of your life

OK: PSA FOR EVERYONE WHO IS CURRENTLY GRINDING BOSS. TO AVOID ALL ISSUES WITH CRASHES AND GRAY SCREENS DO THE FOLLOWING.
At the end of the floor when you get into the golf kart, wait for the screen to go black. Once it does, CLICK AND HOLD THE TOP BAR OF YOUR TTR GAME WINDOW FOR ABOUT 3-5 SECONDS. Then let go and the next floor should load. This was an old fix YEARS ago, and nobody seems to remember it.
Also for the mazes: It's literally the same maze. By the time you reach the Back Nine, you really should know the 4 main routes of the maze by now, so then you just need to think of it rotated when you exit on the left size.
The grey screen is easily fixed. Just follow your group until they get to the cog ball part and finish it. When that door opens, you go through it and come back and the world will appear again.
Nope! Back nine mazes can literally be different. They aren't always just the standard mazes x2/3.

I did a lot of back nines for my first toon and your chart is pretty acurate.
Scientifically proven
Helps a lot to only grind it during Toonfest where you can get merry multipliers and only go through half of what you would usually need. It made it actually tolerable.

How do I love watching loopy rants at 3am... This is my favorite one.
Even after all these years I still have troubles with the Back Nine mazes. It really is a part of Toontown where the repetition becomes too much. And it didn't used to be as glitchy before! Now, I'll often find myself stuck in the "Dead Realm" of infinite gray lagginess! One time I was so fed up with the Back Nine that I ran out into the abyss as far as I could until I turned around saw nothing and was entirely lost! The only solace I still find in Back Nines is my favorite music track in all of Toontown: Back Nine Final Floor Foyer music. ;)
I never even understood why it's mandatory to have the same mini games on every single darn floor. Like what does it give you besides a tedious and pointlessly extra long experience? This was never thought through properly since it brings zero to none strategic value to the run. The only one I can find sorta helpful is the cog golf where you have a chance to get gags, the rest are literally adding nothing to the game. At least throw them in every now and then for effect, not every darn floor. One of the many reasons why I literally would rather quit doing the CEO than start doing back nines.

Back Nines should be ok to run through now. This was only from 2017. It’s 2020 now, so it must be fixed right away without worrying about crashing.

When I was around 30 laff some random person on Donald's Dock added me as a friend and then invited me to do a back nine for some reason and promised me I would make it through even though my best sound was a bike horn back then. Of course I died and they got mad at me and removed me from their friends list. Not the best first experience, let me tell you that haha

I was invited to a back nine once when I was just wandering around aimlessly when I ended up at BBHQ and for some reason got invited. I accepted not knowing what I was going to get myself into. We actually went into the cart. I wanted to exit but I couldn't. I alt + f4'd out of there. To this day I wonder if they were just stupid, Thought that I was an uber or were trying to green me.

You know what I do for max ops? Grab a bowl of popcorn, grab all the Star Wars movies (Excluding Episode I) grab a cold one, and do a marathon, and time seriously flies, and by then I'm already done, works great try it out. (Or don't cause I don't tell you how to live life)

I like the cog golf mini-game, and have been lucky so far to not have these kind of glitches. But this rant about the back nine is how I feel about the DA offices.
the golf minigame is nice, the mazes stink. CGC's really aren't the worst, it's just the sheer amount of floors that make me avoid Bossbot.
That's why if you want max stock options without crashing from Back Nines many times, Middle Sixes are the only choice. No other way around the lagging around those Back Nines. Just saying.

I haven't even killed a bossbot on my main toon since getting my bossbot suit... when TTR had the play ques
I've been playing again since 2020 and haven't experienced any of the bugs. Lucky me, I guess.
I dunno, maybe doing so many of them has made me actually find back nines relaxing. It's nice to just put on a video or listen to some chill music while doing them and it makes it way less stressful. Grinding Lawbot was what I hated.
I maxed bossbot like a year ago, and during all those back 9s, i have NEVER gotten any of the bugs that everyone has. Doesnt matter if im on mac or Windows. Never got in the gray, never had rooms not load, or anything like that, i only had to deal with other toons having the issue like every floor. And i still never get those issues while other people still do. Which is just so strange how they didnt fix it yet
so i had a potato pc i played ttr on.. within like 10-20 minutes it always crashed.. this was w/ an intel integrated graphics card.. now i play on a decent pc with nvidia graphics card and rarely crash at all

Lol, you went through all that trouble because you wanted to help someone... I get it. It's a viewer. But nothing is worth helping if it takes 45-60 mins to do unless you absolutely need to do it.
I just do a bunch of boss bot buildings to avoid all cog golf courses. Less stress for sure.

And here I am wondering why a lot of toons think maxing bossbot first over lawbot is easier. Literally just two words, "Back nine". Mainly because Office D's only take 25 min and you have many groups on toonhq, while back nines take 50 min - 1 hr and nobody does those anymore for some reason hmmm I wonder.
"Back Nine" and "Variety" don't belong in the same sentence.

I see no problem with them. Basically like bullion mints: same amount of time (30 minutes) and similar gag usage. Puzzles aren't bad either, if you know how to do them

best guide for mazes: Always go to the left.
If there's a 4 entrance maze, go to the inner left.
If left is dead end, then go right, but most of the mazes have a left exist.
I think office D's are worse and Lawbot HQ in general. You need 7 back nines to get potentially 5 instant kills VS 9 office D's just get a summon a Penny Pincher. I can say from personal experience that both are dreadfully boring having maxed Bossbot and getting to Big Wig 37.

there is only 4 different patterns for each maze part to be. once you memorize the four going through the maze is easy. Albeit annoying.
Hopefully, the Back Nine is a lot better in CC.

I don't think it's easier, but you get wayyyyy more stock options in it, to the point that it's way more worth it than TTO's

A back nine is a Bossbot Headquarters facility that you do to get enough experience to do the Bossbot boss fight. In the Back nine you go through nine floors of cog battling, puzzles, and the like.
i have done 2 efficient back nines each taking about 35 minutes
but can you do that 56 more times
