Clipping your mic to your clothes rather than trying to do everything one-handed so you can hold your knife in place so you can be heard might also be a big help with consistency of sound.
@@dmoore8557 Unfortunately I don't think it would help much 😅I'm using a really cheap lav at the moment and the sound quality is extremely muffled when I clip it to my shirt (even when I use the tape trick). That's the reason I clip it onto another object to begin with. To get good audio I'll just need to upgrade at some point.
I had a fan running close to my speaker and I thought it was doing that thing where if you talk into the fan it turns your voice into a robot 😂I was moving it all over the place trying to fix it lmao
@@PricklyAlpaca Was wondering... and I'm no expert, so take it with a very large grain of salt... how would it sound if you built it into a forehead band with the mic pointed down towards your mouth? Nothing to interfere with the sound and you'd have your hands free. You could make something really fabulous looking, I'm sure 😊
Honestly this made me think of an appropriately decorated beaded doorway that you could easily walk through this way as to give the illusion of "emerging" from a solid surface (in costume) & I would be so tempted if I had the space.
I just found you on U Tube im a 62 year old grandmother and just love what you do. Thank you so kindly for inspiring me. Take great care and keep creating and smiling ❤
There is a book series called Reckless (reading it in German its amazing) in which a silver, adorned mirror allows people to enter a late 1700s World where every Fairytale is reality. I highly recommend, it is very well written (in German at least) and very dark and mature.
Here's a little tip to adding some more bug variety to your crafts, fly fishing lures. They're glittery, fuzzy, and realistic enough from a distance. Great video, I can't wait to turn every surface in my house into myceliam!
I was watching your most recent video and paused it to show my sister this mirror. she said and I quote "I'd like to see her make that." and I said "I got you fam" so here we are again. we truly found our people. whimsical moth brained maximalists.
The fact you were using a dagger for your mic hook up is the sole reason I just subbed. I have no idea what you even just said because I’m still appreciative of said dagger. I needed that, thank you. 😂
There is a stopper to attach to top of door (upper inside) that stops the door from swing way open and hitting wall or mirror. It’s adjustable and easy. I have children growing into bodies they don’t quite have control of yet, lol.
This is so pretty. I went ooh I should make that! But then I remembered the fact that I'm low key afraid of mirrors. 😅 So I don't need to give my brain more to play with in my subconscious
I literally love everything about your videos- from the editing style to the random references to insanity, it's all amazing. Your effort to make things as good as possible shows ❤❤❤❤❤
I liked this video before even watching it because I knew it would be fantastic ! And I wasn't disappointed 💜For the airbrush, I suggest investing in an Iwata. They can be expensive but they are reliable and really durable (mine is like 7 years old and still working perfectly). You can begin with a NEO or a Revolution, they are good starting airbrushes. Also, for the compressor, try to take one with a reservoir (they usually have 2 tanks). That way, it won't always run (which can be annoying after a while). Hope this helps ! 😊
This channel has become one of my go-to self-care solutions when I'm feeling down; I always feel so cheered when watching😋. (I even love the sponsored ads portion! lol) Thanks so much for doing your thing and sharing it!
You see this mirror chillin in the forest, what you do ?? 😂 Seriously though, it came out AMAZING. It is absolutely something I would get an Etsy ad for and cry over not being able to afford it. On an unrelated note, I don't know if you've ever watched The Dark Crystal but I feel like it would absolutely be your thing and I'd love to see your take on the aesthetic and style! Especially if you designed outfits inspired by it because I feel like the costume design in both the movie and series is HIGHLY underrated
i literally have an almost identical mirror with a similar sad story which has been propped up in the corner of my room held together with packing tape for ages, thank you so much for the inspiration i think i will copy you now ((:
I have a mirror that I painted that has one of those intricate vintage frames and a stand on it that I decorated with some moss, and now I desperately need glow in the dark clay so I can make something similar to this to appease the lil squirrels in my brain that are telling me I need to make this jckckcck your videos are basically free serotonin, and I love your content so so much 💜💜💜💜
I love the effort you out into the things you make and could definitely imagine you making a full 18th century, whimsy, fantasy style, Marie Antoinette that glows in the dark and fights off rebellious peasants with her magical cake powers whilst riding a pastel aesthetic dragon, costume….😏😏
Just found your channel & WOW! The mirror is truly magical and by far the best one I’ve seen. You have definitely inspired me to have a go at doing one myself, so thank you so much. ❤
oh my goodness!! you have no idea how much i needed to see a notification from you on my recommended. absolutely made my day bc it was going pretty upsetti. love your content so much ;w;
I love it so much. TTATT It reminds me of that movie "Faeries" (1999, animated, ran on Disney Channel a lot). Just that whole aesthetic vibe??? I'm screaming.
ALso for the hotglue mushrooms you can wait until they're more cooled down until the point until you can indent it/make the little "textures" underneath the mushrooms :)) 👍
I have never seen a fairycore mirror before this moment but I have never coveted something so much in my life. Well... guess I know what I'm doing with my birthday weekend off!
love this so much!!😭 also love your chaotic clay tutorial lol! you should try glow-in-the-dark paint for an added enchantment!! the mirror turned out beautiful💖
I love this aesthetic so much I have been calling it Dystopian Fairycore, the term Green Apocalypse makes so much sense. The whole overgrown, taken back by nature vibe gives me so much serotonin. And I hope I am here to witness you turning everything around you into a beautiful magical forest. Awesome video, makes me want to level up my own mirror. 💕
I like how with this craft it doesn't really matter if you can see some of the little hot glue threads (idk if thats the word) because they kind of look like spider webs!
I am moving into a new flat in a few weeks and this will be my excuse decorate EVERYTHING. And I have an old mirror in my closet. So thanks for affirming me in my urge to make a whimsical mirror. Also: bonus points for hot glue strands looking like spiderwebs.
I would love to see a room tour. From what we've seen already, it's so cool, i just wanna see it all in great detail with your silly little commentary. That would be awesome
wow, I love the design on this! I love the foam clay mushrooms- so cool! That hot glue bioluminescent mushroom trick is also so handy- I might have to see if I can get crafty on some things!
Ooooh, you could also use hot glue on something small and round or oval, like an egg shaped rock or a plastic egg to get domed clear mushroom tops. I'm absolutely going to have to do this with my cheapie wall mirror now.
the mirror turned out amazing! I've been watching your projects over the last few days and each time you manage to blow my mind with how creative you are.
Thank you! You've just helped me describe one aspect of my thinking. "Dirt is food for my food" as an aesthetic is definitely something I want to embrace. 💚💩💚😹
I love, love, love your mirror. And the glowing mushrooms was a fantastic touch. Now I'm trying to think how to use them in my home, but right now I'm working on Goth stuff to decorate my daughter's room. LOL.
Yo sorry the audio is so bad on this video 😭Something must have gone wrong in compression
Clipping your mic to your clothes rather than trying to do everything one-handed so you can hold your knife in place so you can be heard might also be a big help with consistency of sound.
I’m glad the audio being messed up wasn’t just me because I panicked and thought my earbuds were broken 😂

I can't wait until you just emerge from your own walls like a hibernating dryad for an intro as your room evolves into an indoor forest
Oh my gosh that’d be so funny to watch 🤣

With the mirror up against a big tree it looks like some sort of magical portal! I love it
All mirrors are magical portals you goof
this truly make me want my room to be nothing but fungus and overgrown last of us vibes and im here for it

The book is written by Cornelia Funke if someone is intersted😊
@@Squishy_SealI read so many Cornelia Funke books as a child, it's sending me back the memory lane 🥲
@@Squishy_Seal omg i love cornelia funke, thanks for the recomendation!
Oh yeah I love Cornelia Funke! All of her translations to english are very good
That mirror is incredible. It looks like a portal to a different world and I'm 100% here for it.
Here's a little tip to adding some more bug variety to your crafts, fly fishing lures. They're glittery, fuzzy, and realistic enough from a distance.
Great video, I can't wait to turn every surface in my house into myceliam!
I definitely understand why people would like to stay in your bedroom... It's so beautifullll
It looks like a doorway into another realm! 🥹 So beautiful!

This makes all of our moth brains happy as well. What an inspired repurpose to your mirror!
The hot glue strands that are hanging off of the mirror look natural on it too! It reminds me of tiny spiderwebs being strung around the wildlife! :D
That fake wood looks sooooo good!! And the nighttime transition… I was not expecting that 😍😍
Wow 2 videos in 4 days ? We are being spoiled!!!!! 🎉🎉❤
The fact you were using a dagger for your mic hook up is the sole reason I just subbed. I have no idea what you even just said because I’m still appreciative of said dagger. I needed that, thank you. 😂
MAGICAL MUSHROOM MIRROR!!! OH MY ITS SO PRETTY!!!
This wildly exceeded my expectations. The hot glue threads even look like cobwebs so it works!! So good. I want one now…
This is actual perfect timing because I just dug out an old cracked mirror I was planning to do something very similar with :0
So you've given them more reason to go in your room 😂. But please, put a soft barrier between the door and the mirror.
They put almost an inch thick foam as backing & the black foam around the edges. It looks pretty sturdy to me.
she did, the puzzle piece
The best thing about doing this with a broken mirror is that if it ever cracks again you can just hot glue more moss to it!
Gawd this mirror rules. I love how organic everything turned out, and the lights are just the cherey on top !
This turned out far better than I could have imagined! You did such a great job.
KIRA I CANT WAIT SO SEE THIS, THIS IS SO COOL (just like literally all of your projects!!!! BUT MUSHROOMS!!!!!)
That’s a portal into another world if I ever saw one

Can’t wait to see yr whole room turn into an enchanted forest. ❤️
It’s giving I found this in the middle of the woods and brought it home, hope it’s not cursed vibes
OMG THE MUSHROOMS AAAAAA THEY’RE AMAZING ADJKSHDGHAK
I love the concept of covering up the cracks with moss, really encourages people towards the reuse instead of recycle!
The mirror looks awsome ❤ Sadly no executive producer this video but love how your brother knows you sooo well
She's at the verrryyy end lol
She just really wanted to be outside that week
Omg lol I missed her how could I 😅
this is sooo magical and beautiful!! 🍄❤🥰amazing job!! I love it up against the tree, the shot at 19:45 is like a porthole through the tree haha.
Kintsugi but even more magical, I love it!
Ooo you should make a nether petal mirror that would look so cool just for decor
wow, it looks so good! I especially love the moss in the cracks, i'd love to make something similar :)
This is so pretty. I went ooh I should make that! But then I remembered the fact that I'm low key afraid of mirrors. 😅 So I don't need to give my brain more to play with in my subconscious
That turned out freaking adorable! Fantastic job on reclaiming the broken forest mirror!
Wow it is absolutely beautiful. Now I'm going to be impatiently waiting for a mirror of mine to break so I can do this. hahah
You are inspiring me to pick up a bucket of foam clay and make some fun things. Thanks so much. You are so funny and talented.
