"You have angered the one person whose Rage you should fear most. You have my Sympathy." This is coming from a 300 year old critter who was around when Veldora had managed to get sealed. That's saying something right there.
I've been so excited for this episode all week! Meggido uses water to create lenses that focus sunlight into lasers. The little water droplets then redirect the lasers at the people. Because it's using mostly natural processes, it doesn't use much magicules to use and can be used in an anti-magic zone. He doesn't have to "eat" the souls. They automatically come to him as their killer. They explain in the LN that even if his soldiers were to kill them, he'd still get the souls as their leader.
As a clarification, the otherworlder A****** that killed the girl has the skill "Berserker," which makes him faster and stronger, but it also makes him permanently stronger when he kills a human, the stronger the human, the more power he gains. Because he killed another otherworlder, he gained another Unique skill.
With this cut, Geld coming in after what's his face says he's invincible (12:39) reminds me of how Jack Sparrow (Pirates) smiles and says "Look an undead monkey!" and fires a round into the cage. Geld has a new toy.
Rather than missles i'd say Megiddo was laser beams. The spell was amplifying and reflecting sunlight through the drops and directing it automatically at everyone.
Ok, so... Kaylakaze already explained how the water lenses and disappearing/reappearing water drops are using physical world properties (a magnifying glass burning ants is not magic...) and thus are possible to use in an anti-magic area, so I'll expand on my other point. 😀 As for Rimuru's "limitless potential", well, it's not limitless, per se; he can put himself into sleep mode. But a few things are generally 'breezed over' in the show and can be easily missed: Remember that Rimuru was uniquely reincarnated into this world, not physically summoned. He was able to 'roll his character' as he lay dying with a couple of seriously overpowered abilities: Great Sage & Predator. Those two, on top of the rest of his abilities, *may* have been enough to make him the most powerful Isekai that world has ever seen. Next, he is named by the Storm Dragon Veldora, himself - one of 4 of the most powerful entities in all existence. If Charibdis is created from some random cloud of his magicules, can you imagine the amount of magicules that got dumped into Rimuru during his naming ceremony?! Then combine *that* with he & Veldora sharing a 'family name' - meaning they can share magicules without any penalty. So, whereas other Majin are at risk of exhausting their own supply of magicules by naming others (remember Shuna's warning that it was dangerous to name all of them at once), Rimuru has Veldora in his stomach, basically re-filling his supply contiuously. (like having your phone always plugged into a charger...) Then lastly, his Predator ability basically copies and pastes any and all abilities of anything he eats. And by this point, he's eaten the cave monsters, a dire wolf, Shizue Izawa, the Orc Disaster, the core of Charibdis, a Sky Dragon, enough inferior spirits to create 3 superior spirits.... oh, and Hinata's sword to boot. Each time he does this, ranking rises higher and higher and higher... So... yeah. Rimuru being over-powered and not realizing the full extent of it has been a subtle running joke throughout the earlier parts of the series, even if it makes any fights he gets in particularly anti-climatic (with the obvious exception of the Hinata fight; he was definitely weaker, barrier or no barrier). But now that he is attempting to become a Demon Lord, it seems like he is finally pushing as hard as he can. Ms. Melissa has mentioned before that it almost seems like some higher power brought Rimuru to this world for a special purpose - that he seems to be fundamentally changing the dynamics of this world. I wonder if she's right. I couldn't imagine a better starting point for such a journey/task as what has been granted to Rimuru. my 2 cents.
Yeah, a normal Slime has a really low Thread Level, while Rimuru had a Thread Level of A from the start and after naming rose to A+. With that he is pretty much stronger than nearly all non-Dragon oder Demonlord related enemies.
@@Julius_Fin Same thing. Raphael is great sage but the next tier up- so it wasnt raphael if you want to be nitpicky- but was the skill that will soon evolve to Raphael.
This episode has too many things to talk I must say. Benimaru's sword is faster than his fire. Kyoya is dead already but his mind can't stop, so he feel his death 300 times than normal speed. Shougo's ability make him heal fast, but he still feel the pain so he heal and broken bone again and again. Meggido means " God's anger"
Yeah this show is good at prefacing things and setting you up to be OK with the craziest things. The soldiers talking scummy was another example of that. Case in point, you even reacted thusly aloud: "I don't feel bad anymore."
P.s You are right- and he is totally weak here compared to later- even 10 more LN books after this point he isnt quite the strongest being but maybe in the top 3-4 - but what has been clear for ages is his potential to evolve is limitless seeming- due to his specific skills. Mainly great sage/Raphael and gluttony/beezlebuth. Ultimate skills are a huge deal in this world- anyone with even one cant be beaten really by someone without one- not even all the dragons and demon lords have an ultimate skill. Rimuru will soon have 4 and whats more, they are skills that easily help him get MORE skills. Mainly great sage / raphael. And Its natural to worry where it will end or if it will change him, personality wise. As for no second thoughts- you are right. They are both an invading army who will kill all those he cares for- AND their deaths will bring back others he cares for. He still isnt the sort to kill people because its convenient- he will still rather not kill people when he can- but he knows as a ruler he needs to stand firm and do what has to be done sometimes.
Your next show for react videos should be the 2017 DuckTales reboot. It's on par with RWBY and Clone Wars in terms of enjoyment and is even better than the original 1987 classic!!! I'd love to see you react to it. You won't regret it!👍👍👍

my thoughts exactly! been waiting for this episode and the next one for awhile lol

Rimuru is the best example of why you really shouldn’t piss off the nice one. They tend to erupt like a volcano.
Megiddo. Rimuru summons water spirits and with the help of Great Sage, he angles and focus the light rays, thus weaponizing the light.
He hadn't yet acquired Raphael at this point, had he? So Rimuru wasn't getting their help.

@@Julius_Fin just updated it, thanks for catching it lol

Hello there
