My PAL flight experienced engine failure on November 21st, 2019. PAL reported ‘refund status’ on January 10th, 2020. More than 6 months after the failed flight, I still don't have any of my money back. They ignore my emails. On facebook they ask me to be patient. If I call their customer support, I can be on hold for an hour and get hung up on. When they do talk to me, they say things like they will check into it and get back to me. Nobody ever gets back to me. I don't think 'customer service' is the right phrase for what they do.
I’m so sorry to hear that. I experienced the same thing but with a payment error instead of one booking it accidentally booked 2 tickets for the same route. we troubleshooted the problem at the airport ticket office but we never got a refund for the extra ticket. PAL should really improve their ground customer service.
PAL has high airfare because they’re a full service airline. Unlike 5J/Z2 which are Low cost airlines 🙂. they will also be receiving more Brand new Fuel efficient Airbus A321neos which will replace the aging A320’s.
