Hi there 300 Rivers, hope you enjoy your trip to the Algarve next March and you do get to squeeze in a few days in Madeira too. I quite agree it's outstandingly beautiful.
Hello there Eugene, what a pleasure to hear from you. So please you found it informative and interesting, it was indeed our hope. Thanks for dropping by and all the best to you.
Really enjoyed this walk and loved the clear commentary in particular useful as we going to stay at the hotel in botanical garden this September for 1 week and another week in Funchal. Not sure who did the commentary? But want to know if this person has done more? Like Funchal ?
Hello there Gramps World, how nice to receive your message this morning. It's Yvonne here (the narrator). I do take turns in narrating some of the video's here alongside my partner Mike, I have another one through a lovely Part of Funchal which might interest you: ua-cam.com/video/PgkW_Q0Ik-E/v-deo.html&ab_channel=LivingWalks Thanks for dropping by and have a great trip. I hope to bring you many more.
Good morning Gerard, ah glad you felt like you were there! It's a lovely little town (and that's right it was the middle of July, so fairly high season!) All the best and thanks for dropping by.
I am visiting Madeira for the first time. Would this be a good place to be based? The hotel looks great. We will be using public transport to get about. Is it too close to the airport? Noise etc.
Hi PB, I'm sure you won't be disappointed wherever you stay on this lovely island. If you're using public transport to get about I'd say Funchal is your best bet. Noise wise, we found Canico OK really. I hope the footage will answer your question better than we can.
It's not close to the airport so you don't get any aircraft noise. I would personally stay in Caniço de Baixo or Garajau as it has more places for tourists to stay and its situated better
