3:28 warning .. the SteamOS version only comes with the 16GB RAM / 1TB Storage variant on May 2025 at 499.99$, be mindful of that before moving forward expecting to get a 32GB RAM variant for this.
correction to this... only the 16gb RAM / 512gb will be available for SteamOS ver (499.99$) however, the device will still support a full sized 2280 m.2 ssd.
@user-xw3cd7oq9t I think there’s a handheld already using the z2 extreme and it’s ya it’s exactly what you’re saying. Better performance but nothing too crazy
I’m only interested in the S because it validates Lenovo to go all in on the Go 2 specs. I don’t care if it costs $1000. I’d rather them go all in, rather than try to hard to make the thing affordable. I’ll just have to save for a bit longer lol
What's with the minimal RAM allocated to the Steam version? I realize Linux is way more efficient than Windows but to offer it up with half the RAM capacity is a non starter to me. I'd much rather buy the Ally X and install Bazzite as a dual boot option. They should offer these two with the same specs with your choice of OS. I would think that configuration would also be cheaper to produce.
@@HiTechLoLife the prototype has a Z2 chip inside so that’s probably why it’s got the 74wh maybe they might bump up to 80 if enough people make a fuss about it before the Z2E is released
im holding on to my SD Oled. These are not upgrades but just a refresh in terms of performance. I want my next handheld to be able to use fsr 4 thats why im gonna wait for the z3 extreme or whatever the next amd apu will be that will use rdna 4 architecture.
The battery for the legion 2 is ok. Keep in mind that oled is more efficient, and also, the Z2 chip is also more efficient. So it will run for plenty of time. If you add a bigger battery, it will become too heavy.
Z2 Series looks pretty disappointing just from the spec sheet. Unless the Extreme surprises me, I think my Steam Deck OLED will be fine until a bigger generation leap.
Legion Go 2 has a bigger battery life 74hrs ..im sure the speakers are probably better this time around, and it's oled at 8.8 inches...they should put the steamos button on the Legion 2

@HiTechLoLife there should be a mistake from Lenovo, big mistake. Take a look at the PCMAG video in the Lenovo CES 25, in the legion go 2 specs list on the stand , next to the legion 2, it said 780M ...
Vrr, Oled screen, and 74 whr battery? He'll yeah legion go 2 gunna be dope
Fr SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY
@lilbenate660 yeah they literally hit every single thing about the original I wanted changed. Kind of impressed and might get one..
dont forget about the z2 extreme
I don’t see any benefits with having VRR and OLED. Dont they conflict with eachother from being at its full potential

exactly
Agree with this take... Im looking forward with the LLG 2
Nope. I have zero interest in the LG2. I want the Go with Steam OS. Those detachable handles on the LG are a deal breaker for me.
If I didn't have steam deck oled I would go for S...

rolling “chocolate and vanilla”
For those who might be confused, Z1 Extreme is stronger than Z2 go and same as Z2
still same man😂
The amount of times it sounded like you said Lesion is outrageous.
My favorite vtuber steam deck mommy with another banger 😍
One thing ive realised with all these videos regarding the legion go s everyone wants the legion go 2 !! Its gonna be stupid expensive though

Can someone tell me the name of that game he's playing around 6:29 looks fun 😂 I wanna play it
Hades is that game's name!

The slightly smaller battery on the Legion Go 2 should still out last the Ally X, because the screen is OLED
Go 2 is oled but price was?
It's a prototype so there's no given price yet.

Which is the 4th console to the right of the steam deck on the battery test that's showing great battery life?
the ROG Ally X
Heey Hi-TechLo-Life jus uploaded!
Was gonna buy an ROG Ally X next month, should I wait for the Legion Go 2 now? 😅😅

Some time this year but no solid date as per Lenovo.

The Go 2 still have detachable joystick. Good enouf
What about the speakers on the Go2?
Hard to know for certain, especially in an environment as crowded as CES. Audio stuff is better tested when isolated from everyone else.

so the LG2 will not have steam OS at all ?
Well there's some good news that Valve announced after the video was released. They're looking to release a general use beta for SteamOS.
$49.99?!?!?!? That is a bargain, lol 😂
WE NEED UPDATES!! NOBODY CARES IF YOU MAKE A DEVICE AGAIN. DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SIDE- LOAD SOFTWARE! 🤔

From what I understand not out of the box but we will be seeing a beta release of SteamOS during the first half of the year.
