Best battle in the entire Lord of The Rings universe, agree?
Yes. Fleshed out. Great ending. Heroic moments. It was perfect
Eh, I prefer Pellenor Fields. But I still love this one.
Yeeessss
It's good, but in my personal opinion, the battle of Minas Tirith was the best.
3:23 "And it's raining?! That's just bad vibes all around!"
🤣😭
The way Haldir pulled up with his army of Elves is awesome💯🔥
The appearance of the elves was very unexpected, but very welcome
The turn and coming to attention gets me every time.
May the elves that fell at helms deep enter the halls of Mandos with all honor.
@@JeffreyWilliams-qv5kp Canonically, that number is zero.
they played really high role in this battle in the movie, but arguably in the original novel there was non elf except legolas in battle for helms deep. The discipline they shows really gives people courage and hope for win atleast before battle begins... Such a great move from a director.
Little boy "I'm too young to fight"... Well these Orcs are a few months old at the most, so shut up and get to battle! 😂
These movies where made decades ago and yet nothing today even comes close to them.
Aragorn would go on to keep a knowing smirk but never a word when Gimli told Legolas about the amazing jump he made with absolutely no help during the battle.
"that's why you never give up". Because Gandalf will always come save the day lol
It's always interesting watching Americans (and Europeans etc) completely miss the dwarf tossing references. Peter Jackson put them in as a hat tip to both New Zealand and Australia where dwarf tossing is a popular sport.
Yes they are still uncivilised in the Southern Hemisphere 😃
A tiny detail people usually miss because it's really small: when Haldir's talking to Theoden, and then Aragorn, the elven troops are facing away, and suddenly they turn to their direction... Right? No! They turned to face Legolas, the PRINCE OF MIRKWOOD!
This is how you do a batte at night....Tension is everywhere and the fights are really gorgeous
Plus the audience can actually see what’s happening which is always nice
One of the many things I loved learning in the Extras of the Special Extended Editions was the 250 Elves on the wall also played the 250 Uruk-hai. Peter Jackson told the extras that while they were playing the Elves they had be like stone, stoicism itself. However, once they changed costumes into the Uruk's, they can get rowdy!
The Elves/Uruk's had a meeting after getting into their 2nd costumes and decided to have a laugh with the director. Which is where the spear stamping came from. Jackson's idea was that they were to be undisciplined mob; rowdy, shouting and roaring. Instead, they did this! And it turned out to be so unbelievably sinister and unOrc-like, he left it in the movie.
Imagine losing control of your extras and they come up with something even better than you intended, as a joke!
this will become my new lord of the rings trivia fact to replace the aragorn broken toe fact
Love seeing people first reaction to lord of the rings
Fun fact haldirs name means hidden hero in elvish
Well, we found out Legolas doesn't always shoot his arrows on target ... He had two shots to bring down the enemy running in to blow up the wall at the storm drain ... He FAILED , couldn't hit the broadside of a barn .
Even though it's a reaction video to all these awesome people reacting to this awesome legendary movie honestly it still gives me chills as scenes the feelings the music the visuals oh my God still gives me chills to this day and I saw this movie like so many years ago man so awesome
The deeping wall built with unknown methods unbreachable except for a simple drain
Haldir hearing about an attack in a defendable area and going “Aight” and grabbing a little war party purely to go kick the shit out of orcs is never not hardcore. Especially when you take into consideration how long some of those elves have probably been around for.
Yup
Do you realize how much courage you need to go to battle when you're immortal and you could leave for ever peacefully instead of getting killed in a battle?
All good leaders reflect on if they're making the right decisions
So true. So true. One of the best scenes. I rewatch that scene so many times.
As an archer ... just one tiiiiiny detail that bothers me, not just in this bit in SO many films:
You would never hear an order given to archers to "fire".
That is a term used for primitive FIREarms, such as a matchlock or flintlock rifle, where you apply fire to black powder to discharge the round.
There is no fire involved with an arrow-storm.
The correct term is "loose".
Nock - Draw - Loose ?
This is a fantasy realm not based on real world, so they can use any terms the want.
I also noticed this in the English version.
In the dubbing in my language they say ‘Arrows loose’.
gotta remember, unlike other movies theyre not speaking in english in middle earth, the odd phrase translated slightly differently is the least you can expect
Trivia: The elves turn to Legolas was not in the book.
And the reason why the elf soldiers turn to Legolas is he is a prince. He is the son of Thranduil, Lord of Mirkwood in The Hobbits'.
More trivia: The elves didn't even arrive to Helms Deep in the books.
1:25 Fun fact, the kid we see talking to Aragorn here is actually the actor's own son. Viggo and Henry Mortensen
Mentira!
Ese es mi primo el de Finlandia
That's completely false. The actor is Calum Gittins
@@CROGrof POR ESO, E TEU PRIMO O DE CUBA!
Sorry but that's wrong, but its very close. Viggo's son makes a cameo as one of the kid soldiers standing next to the boy before Aragorn calls for him.
In archery, you never draw back the arrow until you're ready to fire precisely so that what happens @4:34 doesn't happen. There's no reason to do it; you can aim just fine w/o drawing back the arrow, & holding the arrow back at the fully drawn position for an extended period of time can get tiring...
They're shooting at Urak Hai, who were grown from the mud by a corrupt wizard...
Argorn charging the elves, given all the backstory of him a and elven / men history, might be most underrated and most epic moment.
In the Book the elves never fought at Helms Deep.
I think every LOTR fan knows about it, so shut it.
Angelina is fine
Huh. I'm surprised they liked LoTR and didn't recoil because it was "too masculine"
Who tf is this Emme Reacts? I need to mute every time I hear her voice.

Its a fucking travesty to skip theough Theodens lament
Why does the one blond reactor laugh almost all the time?
Because they show her during funny or joyful moments. Why do you care?
@ hey dipshit cuz she’s the only one that’s laughing at everything literally everything so yeah I’m gonna criticize and that’s also something you can’t stop me on
These reaction channels are complete garbage.
then don't watch them
Terrifying is the perfect word to describe The Battle Of Helm's Deep... 😱
