  • In 1980 The Walkers changes its name to The Press. The Press then consists of Rene Innemee, Michel and Walter Nita, John Coenen, Floor Minnaert (keyboards, flute, sax) and Willy Bronzwaer (drums). The Press's first single, "I'm gonna shoot the D.J.", is an instant hit. The band continued as The Press in a changed line-up. Later in 1984, some members form the group Pepperbox, record two singles under the name "Dance Dance" and after a short time use the name The Walkers again until 1989.
