Sound cool, YAY! Cold air intake, now that's a lie, as it inhales hot air from the engine bay. And that metal replacement tube, is a heat collector, which heats up air and making the intercooler work less efficient. Almost forgot, K&N washable and oiled filter is the worse for filtering dust. Just keep using OEM filters, and install snorkel to really intake directly outside of the vehicle. For a long lasting engine, keep using stock OEM filters as it is the best to really filter out dust.
you just removed a waterproof factory snorkel box that pulled air from the fenderwell and replaced it with a non waterproof open air filter making it worse than factory. It already had a cold air intake. Also, do you really think Toyota engineers are so stupid that they don't understand the air intake portion on an engine. Any improvements you notice will go away as soon as the ECU adapts to the slightly more air you may have introduced. Aftermarket air intakes are snake oil unless you are just trying to make it sound different.
No way I find a UA-cam channel dedicated to tacomas after looking for upgrades for mine god bless u all
