Girlie! I had no idea that it takes that long to edit your videos. Your content is always of such wonderful quality, and I love every minute. That said, you do have to do what you need to do for your own well-being!! Totally understand! You put heart and soul into everything you do, and that is so exhausting! Something to keep in mind is that sometimes how ever much we love a channel, if their uploads are long and frequent, sadly, we don't always have enough time to watch them all. I find that with many of my favorite channels.
Very true! I'll often binge what videos I've missed on a day off. Views are sadly one of the very few guideposts available to help creators discern what's working and what isn't. lol
@Cassandra Joy yes, I really have no Idea what my subscribers want to see. My biggest videos are searchable videos only a tiny percentage of my views are actually subscribers. I feel a bit lost. I know if I started a gluten-dairy- free channel It would do well, don't know. I like to do artsy and gardening stuff too.

I feeeel you on the amount of work put into a channel in comparison to the kickback from views, likes, etc. It’s discouraging to put so much effort and work (not to mention, time) into something that doesn’t get the results it deserves to. I’m sorry you are dealing with that too♥️
Regardless of what kind of videos you upload, short or long, I’ll always watch them. Do what is best for you♥️

I gave myself the option of shorts to be a fallback if I had a rough week and needed it for my weekly upload. I've gotten so much faster at editing and filming over the years, but for sure vlogs are the most time consuming. I filmed a few festivals this summer and I've got a few hours of footage to go through and Havent had the time yet. It is frustrating how slow things go, but I really enjoy editing and I hope the shorts help you rest up for a bit.
I love the process of editing, it's so fun! Just time consuming when you're an overfilmer like me haha 😂 I think doing shorts for a while will be just the breather I need!

@@CassandraJoyOfficial I am a little psycho about Christmas shopping 😂😂😂😳 but in my defense, I order a lot from Etsy and sometimes it takes things like a month to come 😅
Could you consider editing less? Just do a vlog without much edits. I think people will still be receptive to it. I agree shorts/ reels are not my favorite. Just know it doesn’t have to be perfect to be good and well received. Keep consistent- I think that will help with your growth! I would love a list of your favorite thrifting spots as a video.
That would give me so much anxiety to leave things 'raw' haha 😂 I'm too much of a creative perfectionist for that. I know some people who do that though, and it works for them, so it's not a bad suggestion!
