Jerky is used in the yellow and black ration. The Kenex station has an advanced constructor down the ramp from ok medical, so you don't need to spend resources to build one. The advanced radar is a must-have to find space wrecks that have good loot for the most part now. I have found loot in a couple that sold for about 10k each. The SV now has limited LY range on the advanced jump drive so you can jump to a new system to get zasc, erest and neo to make CV thrusters and a warp drive. It's all about progression now, the dev's don't want you to get the materials to build a CV in the starter system. (You can do it in single player on the right planet and a lot harder on a server.) They do give you the materials to make a nice core 5 SV with a advanced jump drive, and they made the SV capable of short LY jumps. The next closest system is generally less than 20 LY's away and will have the uncommon ores on the moons, with a lot of Ziracian scumbags around to make it fun.
Ty for the information. Access to an advanced constructor would suit my play style. Like the idea of having to build a more advanced SV, it adds another dimension to the game. This seems to be the way forward.
Does this imply they've nerfed all the loot in POIs, such that they no longer contain Zasc, Erest, Neo, and Aluminium? RE1 POIs such as the Abandonded Depot, Drone base, and Bunker (for the homicidally insane - unless you do it the quick way) yielded more than enough of these to build what you liked. 'Salvage' on Dead Planets would also yield these, and 'scrap metal' could be smelted in a furnace to give Neo. I might have to go back an watch JRandell's Omicron start short series and pay more attention to what he pulled out the POI there. I don't think that Xcal and him have hit any POIs (other than the Zirax base they tunneled into ) in their current Anvil server series, but Xcal has a warp capable Auger, and they have moved to Beta III (although it doesn't have carbon substrate).
Most likely new items have been added to the loot box lookup tables, making what is found more random. So far have not found the 'old' POIs on the starter planet, will have to visit the other planets to see if they are sill around.
@larsongates7745 it's there, but in smaller quantities, meaning you need to grind a lot of POI's in the whole system to get enough for a CV. They've made the Pelican wreck admin cored, so you can't salvage that. The Zirax com station (mission goal) on the moon is also admin cored. Almost everything you need there to bring in a small CV. On servers with a lot of players, it makes it really tough. It has been designed so you will want to use the uncommon ores to make SV upgrades or grind a lot of POI's or credits to buy everything you need to bring in a CV.
I have not found enough gold or small bridges to make enough large ones for a CV without salvaging the unfinished escape shuttle on the dead planet. On popular servers, you have people que'd up to salvage it. Edit.. The space wrecks are ore heavy for common loot, with a few uncommon thrown in. There were a few CV space wrecks that had advanced thrusters, but I think they were removed because I haven't seen any in the last couple of builds. So again, upgrade to the advanced SV radar to find them easier.
Check the generators, you might be able to remove some and release cpu. The re1 ship I spawned in, had 4 generators . Even with upgrades it was still efficient after removing 2 of them. Thinking that generators in re2 are more efficient. Haven't looked at numbers yet. Also , abandoned pads are short runs, good loot but harder than workshops.
Will take a look, would like to put some extra kit on the MX5 making another CPU extender a priority. Starting to think trading is going to be more important in the future.
I wanted to use the MX5. It's just not designed for RE2. I would have to pull it into creative mode for RE2 and remove the warp drive as that is like 16000 CPU. Remove some of the weapons. I would need to replace the weapons or remove them then put them on in game. I feel the MX5 needs stripping down a bit before trying to bring it in RE2.
Need to be careful which MX5 to use, have been able to bring in the Merc-MX5E Reforged by Vermillion, although had to remove the warp drive and add another CPU extender. Some of the others have too much kit attached that put them way over the top. Although would like to see something similar set up for RE2.
@@StephenSilverbeard I just subscribed to the MX5E Reforged Edition I found it on the workshop. I will use this on in Reforged Eden. Otherwise, I would spend a lot of time trying to convert it over to fix the CPU issues with it. I figured you would need more CPU if you going to use warp drive. Its why I built my own SV with warp so I could visit the orbits of other planets to look for loot and such. They say the orbits are easy. I got blown away by laser turrets when investigating a shipwreck. These shipwrecks have active defenses still so be careful. I took out the turrets and found a container with 2000 sathium plates. That fixed all my issues with sathium material. I kept a few hundred plates and deposited the rest in a workshop blueprint for now. Lots of other loot too. That shipwreck had a dozen boxes of loot for me. I grabbed five or six CV engines too off it to put towards my neo issue.
Sound like the shipwrecks have been reworked, previously they often only had basic loot in them. Spanj has mentioned in his live streams that getting some basic shields has become more important when operating in space. Again it come down to getting the CPU balance right, although the limit is not a hard one, so can go over it.
Interesting.. They've increased the number of Basic extenders from 1 to 2. Does this also imply you can fit more of the Improved Extenders or have they reduced the number of these (used to be 2).
Had to have a look, the number of improved extenders is still two, beyond that are 2 X CPU Extender Advanced (2750 CPU and 2 X CPU Extender Superior (3250 CPU). In addition there is 2 X CPU Exterior (Quantum) giving 4000 CPU each. The last two options need some exotic materials implying a requirement for a serious SV.

I just finished the com relay mission it was good. Next up I need to do Crash of the Titan next. I will keep watching to see what happens next.
Thank you for the support. There some hidden loot on the Crashed Titans, so have a good look round.
