The problem with the GWR developers is that they don't-I mean, they never communicate with users. They still haven't fixed the Austro-Hungarian Division name error (which comes out with only "1. Division" not in the historic name), they're adding meaningless railway states, the Russo-German Alliance focus tree where Germany deletes Russian cores and establishes puppet states, the Wien falling event triggering bug when the A-H joins the Entente, and so on. Users reported these kinds of bugs, and they replied with "nahh" or something really rude.
These bugs have been fixed for many many updates, close to, if not way more than a year ago now and when they did arise they were fixed in the next available hot patch :)
Personally, I don't like the two WW1 mods. On paper, they're both good with many interesting paths. In practice; it's slow, grinding and just not fun. Also the scripted peace-deal mechanic is garbage. Single-handedly win the war? Your reward is two states and a shattered economy. Still, always enjoy watching the Rambler in action.
It's true Like I get it the war was a grind but you can't really have fun cause of how railroaded everything is And post war content is atrocious due to world tension collapsing completely
Even if Germany win the war fast irl they would have a cripling economy, and they would have only taken some french and african lands, so its basically realism, they were in risk of food shortage
I mean that's literally how it was irl. Even the poor Victor's spoils. France won ww1 and contributed heavily and all they got was Cameroon, Syria and alsace Lorraine.
My issue with the GWR devs is that they’re so hyper focused on realism to the point where the game isn’t fun anymore, they removed all the fun paths from the game (Third Rome ottomans, Soviet empire Russia) and they add content for countries that nobody wants
@@fhralr7552 yeah at one point, thankfully the devs are bringing back the Soviet tsar path and the third Rome ottomans has a fan made sub mod but still
I really enjoyed your video on the world post Napoleonic Wars where France emerged victorious. I can't recall the exact title, but it was fascinating to watch. Keep up the great work!

"I FORGOT I HAD THAT MOD ON!!!" made me laugh so hard omg
I’ve suggested this to ISP, and this seems like a good moment to suggest to you: the “Isolated Island Challenge”. See what it takes to isolate a great power to a tiny, preferably cold, island somewhere.
Always enjoy your videos Alex and just funny enough your videos almost always come out when I'm hungry and wanting my lunch and always a great way to eat my food and watch good videos
I was going to like/comment/subscribe but I was jump scared by someone not turning off a certain mod D: So now I'll just like and comment! (was already subscribed)
From how easily you got into the Netherlands (before the German intervention), it seems the Netherlands is too weak in this mod? The reasons the Netherlands could stay independent is because both sides knew attacking them would make them join the other side, and the bicycle divisions were surprisingly capable and mobile. With the Waterline, invading the Netherlands was a pain that wasn't worth it. Yet your game shows no bicycle divisions at all? Is the Waterline buff counted? The Dutch military became useless during the Great Depression (when the gov could no longer fund it), which is why it was so weak in WW2. But it wasn't negligible during WW1.
Yeah the Great War mods never really sit right with me. It's kinda like Kaiserreich for me. Where the Developers had something they really, really, really wanted to highlight. Which is fine, mods and passion and all. But it just ends up not fun. Like scripted peace deals and trying to heavily handed force events to go particular ways even if it contextually no longer makes sense. Like if the Schleiffen Plan actually worked and Germany still "loses" the war and gets nothing out of it because "Muh History" basically (An experience I had ages ago on the mod). Though I don't mind the New Era demobilization and economic stand down sort of thing. I get why some would, matter of taste. But it's fitting and it's nice to have so if someone does want to go the distance they don't have WW2 starting with everyone having thousands of factories and thousands of divisions standing around, etc.
Now you're basically *the* WW1 HOI4 guy, you should definitely do HOI4 WW1 A2Z.
Yes this would be amazing and unique. Just do Great War Redux A-Z
Great War redux A2Z with overpowered submods for small nations with no flavour. Would definitely watch that 👍👍
Please do Alex
YESSS and you should tell iSP to make Kaiserredux A2Z
Can't wait to see him play Darfur, Luxembourg, and the Wadai

They really suck, I can’t stand them
And this is the best hoi4 ww1 mod, we don't even have a choice
We’ve literally never heard of these bugs?
What, from my experience they seem like chill people, maybe I haven't interacted with them enough but they seem chill

@@toasterman5412you can technically do it but you have to justify on us to 90% 3 times during the great war to get enough tension
Well it’s World War One obviously the wars gonna be sort of painful
