Did you say there is only one step sequencer but it can be used as 6 mono synths? Do you have to sequence it externally to achieve 6 sequenced mono synths?
Pete Horam you can configure the parts. If 6 parts, 6 mono synths therefore 6 step sequencers, 1 per part. I know it's a bit confusing but it's not in practice.
Thanks a lot for this! It's really helful for getting to know the synth. I really like the weird oscillators, I think you could get far more out of it than standard analog. I quite fancy an Shruthi XT as I like one knob per function but for only a £200 it seems like it's foolish to pass up 6 voices. I'd like to hear the Xmod sounds.
Hi! Wich firmware do you use in this video? I have ambika with v.1.0, but every time when i turn encoders, the screen switches. When you turn encoder on filter page (for example) screen don’t switch
Thank you for the video Very helpful for people like me who is not good at English. The user menu is so hard to read and understand But I have two questions and very emergent First one, in the MATRIX, does VCA need to connect to one ENVELOPE for a normal playing? I tried so many options and only when it's connected to an ENVELOPE and the AMNT is 63, it can work. Otherwise, the oscillator keep playing The second one, when I use a keyboard connected to AMBIKA. I change the A/sq option to step sequencer. And then, I play the sequencer. and there is a note keep playing. Just like you hold the note on your keyboard and don't release it. And the only way to shut down the note is to find the note on your keyboard and play it. these problems really bother me. And I'm not sure if my second hand AMBIKA is broken. Or it's normal in all Ambika (Hope my English is not too terrible to influence your understanding
Hi Thanks for watching. Yes, Envelope has to control VCA with amount set to positive values for normal playing, if the amount is set to zero, VCA is in a drone mode. In regards to your issue with sequencer I am not sure what could be wrong but I wouldn't quickly jump to conclusion that your Ambika is broken. Make sure that Env-VCA amount is set to +63. Also try to run short and slow sequence with let's say only two trigger notes, this way you should be able to hear better what has been going on. Under normal circumstances you shold be able to run and transpose the sequence when pressing keys on your keyboard.
Recbutton thank you very much😁😁 i have no question with the first problem. I can underestand this eurorck things because i have a mother32. But my frind keeps talking that his Ambika dont have needs this.He makes me very confused! the second prolem. I try to use only two notes in sequencer, and sequencer is not connected to anything. And the envelope is connected to VCA with amount 63 It still kepps playing. i record a video ua-cam.com/video/08hhNhpRDgY/v-deo.html you can also find it in my videos this bothers me when i play a sequncer in one port and use keyboard in another Thank you again a great helpful!!!! i can't find and connect to a live person who really underestands ambika in my contry😓,even the person who sell me this one.
@@marksun7846 Hi, I watched your video but I cannot really understand what is going on there? You say that your sequencer is playing only two notes but even so I cannot hear the separate triggers. Can you make sure that the note lengths are short and that the VCO envelope release is set to short too. I really wish I could help you but without actually seeing the synth with my own eyes is almost impossible.
Why is it so expensive it would be nice to n make it part of a modular system or put in a case midi keyboards too many module I do like it and would love it too many menus how good does it sound will it sink with my mini brute perhaps I can get as a vtx please excuse my ignorance but I want one
Here you go. I have not had a chance to separate the programs that came with my Ambika from my custom ones, there are certainly ones that I have programmed for the demonstration. The download link however is only valid for a few days I am afraid . I hope this helps. mab.to/WjFcjLwr8
Hi. Thank you very much. My bank will be ready soon. I have already 96 presets - so 32 to go. My idea for this set is Dance Music of 90. But it also covers a little both sides - Italo Disco and dance above 2000. There a lot organs, some pianos, solo leads, basses, kicks, accordions etc. I think my sound are way different like these yoou heard from this synth. I use heavy detuning to reach many voices. You need to have 6 voicecards turned on. Some strong solo leads use all 6 voices to sound i that way ive programmed them. I have 6x SMR cards - little modified but thats doesnt matter. Sometimes i use resonance as lo cut. Anyway... Ive checked your website. I think you are probably Martin. If yes - i can send you my bank when ready to recbutton mail address. Of course if you are interrested. Cheers Greg
Hi Greg, that's awesome! I haven't had a chance to give much love to my Ambika recently, have been busy learning and playing with the other gear in a spare time. I have also just finished my next YT video on using Elektron's Digitakt as a poly synth with MidiGal. It's just not enough time to have fun in the studio, such as life, but I will definitely dedicate a day or two for creating new patches for Ambika in the near future. Thanks for checking out RecButton website! I have not updated my website for ages as I haven't got a clue about designing www anyway. It would be awesome if you could share your Ambika patches! Cheers Martin
THANK YOU for making an in depth AND chill video about this synth!
Background music is beautiful, thanks for this upload, about to get an ambika
Enjoying the biosphere in the background also.
Thank you. Just got one of these guys and this helped with the learning curve. Cheers!
They should pay you commission! This video swayed me into buying one.
23productionunit I've done it for a pure love and admiration I have for Ambika ;-)
Can it receive or transmit midi aftertouch signals? Thanks!
Biosphere music on the background , ace !
Great high level overview from someone who is obviously knowledgeable in the Ambika. Would really like an in depth tutorial on the sequencer side!
Thanks! I am still exploring Ambika and one day I might do a video on the step sequencer.

Thumbs up. How to best configure for stereo out?

Mmm! Peace Christo👽
Hi. Is there possibility to get this set of your patches? Im creating dance bank for ambika but im stuck with some things. Cheers
G
Technically I could, I just have to figure out how :)
If you have card reader things are easy. I can give you my email or you can put it in some public space. Cheers

this synth promises but not delivers, exactly like this very video with 98% words and 2% sound
