MAD RESPECT to our brand-new 2025 bass line, Captain Gage, and bass tech Mr Steve Nixon! Mr Nixon marched ‪@CarolinaCrown‬ drum & bugle corps as well as WGI Independent World perennial top-10 contender ‪@UnitedPerc‬ , and he brings a ton of knowledge and high expectations to Mad Beatz Philly!
When 2025 auditions concluded in November, we had 7 bass drummers who we were confident could do a GREAT job. We asked Mr Nixon "have you ever taught a bass line with 7 BASS DRUMMERS in it?" Mr Nixon: "no, but I'm MAD HYPE to do it!!"
And that was it. Judah, Gage, Jaxson, Marcos, Eryn, Saire, and Seth became BASSFAM for life. Thanks, Mr Nixon :)
