This scene from the movie touched a lot of people. Rob did an awesome job at this scene. When you were watching Sherriff Brackett breaking in anger and tears when he saw Annie's body, you felt like you were actually in this scene. You even felt bad for both Sherriff Bracket and Annie.
I was surprised at RZ's adeptness at compassion and tragedy in this horror film. This scene was so crushing. It was actually sad. Lauries theme is also sad from H2 sountrack.
I have really learned to give every movie a chance and, quite frankly I find Rob Zombies remakes to be very unique, dark, and honestly I love them. The old halloween films will always be classic for being that kind of suprising and helpless and fun-to-watch halloween movies, but Rob Zombies remakes particularly the first one are amazing in my opinion
This moment in the film is one of the main reasons I watch it. The emotion was so strong and wonderful. It was something that was never really done in any of the other Halloween films.
The scene from this part of the movie hit me like a ton of bricks. This track along with the childhood footage of Annie was absolutely soul crushing...
My problem with it was the whole aspect of his mother's ghost. I thought it made Michael way too similar to Jason Voorhees in that he was following the orders of his mother from beyond the grave.
I agree that this horror did that no other horror has done EVER. When Annie was found by her father, they played back footage of when she was younger. This is showing that the victims have memories, and attachments, and emotions and are actual everyday people going through surreal situations. Acknowledging the past of each victim is something that they did not miss here, instead of everybody else just being victims for Michael to butcher.
I know people hate this movie (despite some actually considering it now to be a cult film). I do to, but if there's one thing I really never intended for this movie to do, it was actually make me feel for a characters death. For a moment Rob pulled off his Devil's Rejects charm and made you care about characters as human's instead of just Michael's victims. Plus Danielle Harris is as much Halloween as Jamie and Donald.
Well of course she is bc she was apart of the original Halloween films and she even acted alongside Donald, Danielle Harris the actress that plays Annie is the same actress that plays Jamie Lloyd in Halloween 4 and 5 which is Laurie strode's daughter and Michael's niece and the flashback that bracket has of young Annie is around the age she was and looked when she played the character so yea I'd say she has alot to do with the original franchise lol
“Oh God. OoooooooOooOOOoohhhhh noooooo Anniiiiiiie. **sniff** ANNIIIE God no God please! **sniff** OH God! NO! NOOO!!!!” *- Strong ass acting by Brad Dourif* 😢
While I didn't particularly enjoy the Rob Zombie remakes, I'd be a fool and a liar if I said this scene didn't pull on some kind of heart string. Deaths in movies/tv series/games RARELY even phase me, no less make me cry, but this made me tear up a bit. Very powerful.
The movie itself was not that good, but it was okay. This scene in particular was the best acted piece in the movie and the score helped very much. It was like a punch in the gut because Annie grew to be a major likeable character. Brad Douriff nailed this scene.
FINALLY!!! A RATIONAL BEING!!! I loved this film also. It didn't see it as the gory, porno that everyone else claimed it to be. Sure, it was a tad out of line and not as good as carpenters original, and definitley wasn't exactly in continiuty with zombies first film. But I saw it as a fucked up family finding their way together again. After all that Michael put them through it didn't seem like the last thing they'd do... But they did.
Why do people think that Rob Zombie did a horrible job? Rob Zombie did this movie because he wanted to make the plot more easy to understand and why and how Michael Myers became evil. John Carpenter thought that Rob Zombie's version was better than the original. In the DVD Commentary, Rob explains that he wanted to show how and why Michael became evil, he had a crappy childhood and lifestyle, and also that his obsession of masks also made him to change his personality.
Even though I hate Rob zombies 2 movies, this is like the most saddest part in the entire movie because a man finds his daughter lying dead in a pool of her own blood, and it's very heartbreaking. Parents shouldn't outlive their children.
Probably the only genius thing Rob Zombie did In remaking the Halloween movies. A sad/emotional scene that would leave you In tears. Brad douriff’s(brackett)performance was also amazing.
i don't know. when rob zombie did halloween & halloween 2, i thought they were okay for a remake. he could've done it better, when he told john carpenter (the original halloween creator) that he was doing halloween, john told rob to make the movie like it was never made before. i get that rob zombie's version showed why michael became evil because the original didn't really tell why he became evil. i think the original and rob zombie's version are equal so don't argue with me about it please.
Chief woman: "Chief, I just got another phone call..." Brackett: "So, why are you telling me it?" Chief woman: "I don't know, it came from your house.." From that moment I felt a pain inside my self. Brackett was like "Shit... he is there"
And being pure evil....it was so scary and original because there was no explanation for why this innocent looking little kid nurdered his sister and then everything that followed. If carpenter really said that, it doesn't make think any more of the remakes. George lucas has praised the remaster original movies and the prequels, means nothing to me.
You specifically answered your own question. What made the originals so great was the lack of explanation for why michael is evil. Like the famous quote in scream, "It's scarier when there is no motive". Making michael into just someone that just has some mental issues and a Crappy childhood takes away all the scare. I had kind ofcrappy childhood and issues of my own....and I don't go around stalking and killing people. Loomis's whole long quote in the original about the blackest eyes
Rayray Miller Nan Vernon probably. She is on both the first remake and this soundtrack. She did the Mr. Sandman cover in the first RZ film and Love Hurts cover at the end of RZ H2.
I never knew that you could hear such a sad song from a Halloween movie.
This scene from the movie touched a lot of people. Rob did an awesome job at this scene. When you were watching Sherriff Brackett breaking in anger and tears when he saw Annie's body, you felt like you were actually in this scene. You even felt bad for both Sherriff Bracket and Annie.
I don't think i EVER cry watching horror film, but this scene Got me!!!
I first saw this I was like, "damn. This is actually sad." Really nothing like the other Halloween films.
I remember seeing this in the theater, and it being a more mature look at not only the horror, but the aftermath. it was heartbreaking.
mattmanw54301 The Director’s Cut did a much better job with the scene. You should check it out if you haven’t bought it on home video yet.
ZTX nah

it's a awesome movie but when it gets to Annie dies that's when the rest of the movie was getting sadder and sadder
😫😖 This Movie Is Sad Rob Zombie Why Did You Have To Make This Horror Film So Sad Probably The Saddest Horror Film I've Seen
Close to ghost ship ending

The opening hospital scene and when he finds Annie r top notch. Very haunting and emotional score. Thanks for the upload.
this music here was the most heartbreaking score in a horror film\
next to Ghost Ship
just traumatizing too
Awesome score!! Written and placed perfectly!! :) Thanks for the post!!
its a sad song but I love micheal Myers

Zira: Shhh...
Nuka: Well, I finally got your attention, Didn't I?
Zira:🙂
Nuka: (Dies.)

The way zombie included a baby pic of Annie in this scene was heart breaking 💔
when i watched this movie i filet Brackett's pain hearing him cry made this scene so hard to watch

Brad Douriff nailed this scene.
Brad Douriff and Malcolm McDowell needed more screentime together. The two have great chemistry. Lol Chucky and Alex are great.
phew....glad I wasn't the only one who cried when I saw that scene

Love the music. Just not the film,

Very sad, yes.

Sometimes this hits my soul at 4 am
Beautiful theme 💗💗

As sad as what this score represents, it reminds me of The Crow whenever Eric is burning the pictures and letters of him and Shelly
i wonder if the songa had more than 1 person doin the singing i guess u kcould kcall it
my name Freddy Schaefer I have michael Myers curse Mark of thorn
Tommy: Whenever it appears he appears.
Dr. Wolfula: Ok. So Michael is magic and kills because some stars tell him to. I think I get it.
+dannie lawman I know. I was just quoting Dr. Wolfula.
Skalopulton301 I love doc
this song is sad but I love Michael Myers

When your a producer or director you make it and deal with it
Who sings this song
Rayray Miller Nan Vernon probably. She is on both the first remake and this soundtrack. She did the Mr. Sandman cover in the first RZ film and Love Hurts cover at the end of RZ H2.
