Yeah man that's a good catch. That's funny, hey linda, Linda take it, take it. She wouldn't take the pin and give it a try. Awesome vid and can't wait to see the next one. Another stergon vid would be good to.
You are absolutely correct. It’s less efficient than a baitcaster since the ratio is one to one. However I personally like to fight a fish on it. It’s me doing all the work since there no drag system. Pros and cons I guess
Lol. Well springs are great! You can retain them but they are either too coloured up or stinks haha they are great for making jerky and smoked. I prefer spring for jerky than coho. It’s just I caught many this year and don’t want to deal with big fish haha
@wescrawford4384 that would be more than sufficient for cohos but maybe on the lighter for springs. But it should be fine…just to have an idea. For springs I use 8-17lb rated and cohos I use 6-12lb rated rods
There is a UA-cam channel called addicted fishing where you can find lots of instructions about floating with spinning rod. It has its own challenges like free drifting but not letting too much of slack on the line… it’s challenging but doable
@@Go2fishingbc so you'll target them on separate outing and bring heavier gear or you just typically stay away and only target coho and if you get a spring you get a spring
“Blowing up spots since 2001” 🤣
Nice to catch those bobber downs on vid. Good video.
Thanks!

I m going to say it until she reels in it ;)
Glad I'm not the only one who juet shoves the keepres into a garbage bag!
You were right, sunday is the next video….. met you on Friday at the vedder!
Great vid!
Thanks :)
Your lucky you got to fish with rod
I'm curious what the attraction is to center pin reels. 🤔 Anglers seem to do a whole lot more reeling 🤔.
Good fishing😊

@@Go2fishingbc thanks for that.... 😬😁. I'm old, tiny, I need all the help I can get 🤣🤣. I will stay away from centre pins 👍.
Way better fight, dont use anything else for float fishing.
Awesome! One question my friend: What’s your fishing net? It has a perfect size! Thank you
Not mine but it’s the moby net dk special! Also the steelheader is good too from moby net
A lot of luck eh. Lol you always catch. And what am I.... Just Mr no Dice fisherman
Haha just luck…😉
It's not luck... at all. I proved that the last 4 years of futility...
I clicked because of the smack talk thumbnail 😂😂😂😂
😑
🤪
You gotta go easy on Rod, he’s getting old…like me😂
Question…why does everyone throw springs back? Are they illegal to keep, or not taste so great?
Lol. Well springs are great! You can retain them but they are either too coloured up or stinks haha they are great for making jerky and smoked. I prefer spring for jerky than coho. It’s just I caught many this year and don’t want to deal with big fish haha
@@Go2fishingbcThat’s a good problem to have! Caught too many big fish already😝
Hello, What brand of reel are you using? The way you cast is different than the conventional center pin.
It’s a okuma raw ii Centerpin. I cast it how it works for me haha idk if it’s right or not 🤷♂️
Rod is still undisputed number one!
Hey!! Question for you! I'm looking at buying a 9foot medium rod. Is that ok for the vedder??
9ft is okay. I like longer rod but that’s personal preference. It all depends on the rating on the rod. What lb is the rating?
@@Go2fishingbc ahh ok! Makes sense! Good question I think it's 12 pound??
@wescrawford4384 that would be more than sufficient for cohos but maybe on the lighter for springs. But it should be fine…just to have an idea. For springs I use 8-17lb rated and cohos I use 6-12lb rated rods
@@Go2fishingbc oh ok!! Thanks for the help!! I'm actually targeting kings ha so prob not the right rod
@wescrawford4384 it will work but will take longer to reel in
Can you float fish with a spinning reel?
Of course you can
There is a UA-cam channel called addicted fishing where you can find lots of instructions about floating with spinning rod. It has its own challenges like free drifting but not letting too much of slack on the line… it’s challenging but doable
@@skylazart Thank you for providing this source! Ive been struggling with drifting floats at the vedder with a spinning reel
Anybody want to share what part of the river they are fishing? Exact location LOL please
It’s not a secret…it’s more than a spot. Focus on reading the water and timing ;)
Why dont you like springs ....only fidhung for coho?
Springs are cool but when you catch a lot it gets tiring haha plus the rod is a very light one so
@@Go2fishingbc so you'll target them on separate outing and bring heavier gear or you just typically stay away and only target coho and if you get a spring you get a spring
@texasrangerwalker8945 exactly. Different water for cohos and springs but yeah if I by catch a spring then oh well
Hahahaha! outfished Rodney and Linda, and the first UA-cam comment is Rodney. 🤣
🤣
And Linda she’s beautiful
That some major click bait 😂
I gotcha! Fishing ain’t cheap lol🎣
