Soooo because of you guys I stopped at a Nigerian restaurant called Jollof Pot. I had chicken, fufu and spinach. When I tell you that food was spicy…I wasn’t ready but I couldn’t stop eating it. Omg I have to go back
It’s not just spicy. It is fire fire spicy killer. It washes aka eats up anything on the throat wall. You bite once you gulp a glass of water and then use fresh napkin to dry the eyes😂. You feel as if the pupils have run off the socket in shock and you start chasing the pupils to return them back. 😂😂
I love when people of different cultures come together as a couple. There is so much to learn from each other. Especially when it comes to food. The fact that Bambi is willing to try Nigerian food which is very spicy, shows how much she loves and respects Lamb’s culture. I love them as a couple! ❤

I know how to cook it too but if he wants to pay someone, I'm not mad at him.😁 Me being from Louisiana, I'm enjoying it too. The Jollof rice is similar to our jambalaya and also some of the soups that we call stews; example- fish stew, mackerel, spinach/collard greens (smothered), okra. My daddy ate tripe, cow leg, and gizzards 🤢. Every Fourth my parents friends would have a whole goat going around over a bbq pit. Yup I'm from the country and I love my spicy food. My husband always says he feels like he's in Nigeria when it comes home with me.
My sista, your husband feels so, because many that were enslaved came from Nigeria, especially the Yorubas and Igbo. Even though uprooted from their ancestral homeland certain aspects of culture never die, such as culinary arts. That's why the jumbalaya is similar to jollof rice. He can relate to the cook outs because it's similar to what is in West Africa. Even here in East Africa where I'm from, I will be at ease if I were to have the privilege to grace one of your cook outs.
