I’ve been playing this video (song) for my daughter since birth. It helps calm her down and puts her to sleep. Almost one year later and it still works!
Wow I have heard this since I was very little, when I was 3 I would go to my grandparents house and always get them to play this over and over, now I'm 15 diagnosed with autism and I think I probably liked this so much because of the bear and colours, idk how to explain the feeling it gives me.
This song starts with a live action sequence with Paul McCartney in an attic finding an old Rupert Bear book, blowing dust off it which turns into magical glittery sparks with a sound effect.
I remember thinking that this was very special back in 1984, when I was 13. Owning it on VHS was quite something. A ten minute long cartoon went with it.
Win or lose, sink or swim One thing is certain we'll never give in Side by side, hand in hand We all stand together Play the game, fight the fight But what's the point on a beautiful night? Arm in arm, hand in hand We all stand together Keeping us warm in the night La la la la Walk in the night You'll get it right Win or lose, sink or swim One thing is certain we'll never give in Side by side, hand in hand We all stand together
I must have been 3 or 4. We just had VHS in our family in Nam. The tape was brought back from America as a gift from a relative. Somehow I stumbled across this and things are beginning to come back. The funny-eyed fat frogs. The cats from the back alley being shunned by the square-faced owl. The weird reflections of the frogs on the water. The air balloon frogs. And the king and queen frogs appearing majestically This has to be the most precious find on UA-cam. Thank you.
After all these years I have only just noticed that the frog smoking a pipe next to his son (?), voiced by Windsor Davies is actually reprising his and Don Estelle's roles in It ain't half hot Mum. It even includes Sgt Williams' catchphrase "Shut up" !
Omg I've been searching for this forever. I used to have it on VHS along with a few other things and I loved it so much when I was a kid. I'm 21 now and it still holds so many great memories
What I love is that the lyrics fit into Rupert's life as well as us Rupert Bear fans. Rupert Bear's over 100 years old and faced many enemies such as Billy Blizzard and Sir Humphrey Pumphrey throughout his many adventures. But no matter what, he's always has his friends and family standing with him no matter should they win or lose
Watership Down is something else. I watched it a few years ago and was amazed at how scary it was. I've always had a soft spot for "Bright Eyes" since childhood, even though it is cheesy as heck.
There is much more to this video. I had this on VHS as a kid, at the end of the tape was seaside woman. In the beginning to this video, the memory is vague but he travels to this place shown in the video and discovers this
@@Lessons4Life yes that's right but I can't remember what that was. I think that might be a part of the frog song, at the end it goes to that? Maybe as a continuation of the cartoon. I'm not sure on it though. I just checked, this can be bought on DVD online for around $25.
I was singing this in college back between 2004 and 2008, some military recruiter actually told me to stop singing it and called the song offensive. I told him, "HOW? It's JUST a song, no harm in sing it, it's harmless." And I just kept singing as he kept telling me it's just un-American or Anti-American. I don't get how 1 song can offend an US soldier. What is such a big deal? It's too beautifil
There's currently a Plague of Frogs in Cheshire East Council area VERY DIFFERENT from Cheshire West Council YES it's true THEY ARE ALL MAD HERE some are COMPLETELY INCENSED

The animation story is way off, depicting mammals and birds as soulless, when it's reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates that have no feelings at all. Irritating!! Frogs eat and rape each other by default.
This song pops up in my head every now and then. Brings back memories from my childhood
Loved since childhood! I’m 41 now! I’ve no idea why, this made me emotional then (in a good way) and still does now! ♥️♥️♥️
I'm the same... instant fond flashbacks
Same here! Beautiful memories ❤️
Dont worry I still love snowman too
Im the same
Same 41 too loved since I was a child
This video is a core memory of my childhood! We use to listen to this in the car when travelling to our favourite holiday park…🥺
I don’t know why but this song feels special. I’m 40 soon and it takes me back to being a kid. Gives me goosebumps.

@@abidunn6070 it did indeed. At the beginning. Along with Edward Trunk I believe.
I love this flim I love it when I was a kid
First record (43 now), think many 40’s will remember best as it was our early childhood

Paul McCartney’s music was so beautifully animated!
Good memories never go away.
Very true
This song has always randomly popped back into memory consistently for like 20+ years

A fantastic memory to hunt! Absolutely love this
I’m trying to find where we heard this on South African television - it featured I believe before the news or something in South Africa?
Watching this with my Nan back in the day…. Memories that will never be forgotten ❤😊
Okay, so this was made many years before I was born, but I used to watch this scene on repeat as a little kid. Wow the nostalgia hits hard 🎶💕
My music teacher showed me this years ago. Thnx mr Kroot.

Aaaaaw I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets nostalgic and sentimental about this masterpiece 🤧
This still makes me emotional! 😩🥰
Goosebumps. I'm 47. I often saw this on tv in Christmas time
Such memories and such an amazing song… funny thing is, some of the music has the same vibe as Watership Down which is also a masterpiece.
