Highlights from Darryl's Dream Holiday Benefit in NYC (benefiting Road Recovery & Community Hope)

Our entertainment industry non-profit Road Recovery and Community Hope (NJ) hosted Darryl’s Dream Holiday Benefit brunch featuring Darryl “DMC” McDaniels on December 10, 2022 at The Cutting Room in New York City, a live event to raise awareness and funds for the charities.
The event included a read-aloud and signing of Darryl “DMC” McDaniels’ children’s book, Darryl’s Dream (Random House Books for Young Readers) by McDaniels himself, with special guests reading the other roles. All attendees received a complimentary signed copy of the book. Following the book reading, Darryl McDaniels joined his friend and DJ, Charlie Chan to perform a brief set of music classics by Darryl McDaniels and Run DMC! It's Tricky! The benefit also included a silent auction of mixed items, gingerbread houses, and some rock memorabilia to help raise needed funds for the two charities.
In excitement about the event, Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, a Road Recovery board member, shares, “We all have dreams and so many of us are proof that dreams do come true no matter what the situation or circumstances are. Road Recovery constantly puts our young people on the path of overcoming adversity and getting round the obstacles that are in the way, so they can find their road to success!"
