As I write this, the Mets have lost, the Snakes are losing, and the Royals have secured a playoff spot, meaning they can rest their best the rest of the weekend. It's a good night for Braves Country! And if this is Max's last performance at Truist in a Braves uni, or his last performance as a Brave at all, what a showing. Tonight was a masterclass.
What a night. After all the bad luck and bad vibes, I could actually feel some hope tonight watching the other games. I think the pressure is finally starting to get to some of these other teams. Maybe our luck is about to turn...
In one night, the Royals clinched a play-off birth after losing, and the Braves went from being out of it, to currently owning the 2nd Wild Card spot. Everything couldn't have gone better.
Hi Jake and Grant ! What a magnificent, masterful pitching performance by Max Fried. Vintage Fried tonight! Incredible. A proud Braves fan as I stood with crowd as one as Max left the mound . Those who were gathered at my home to watch the game, stood in unison cheering znd applauding as Max exited the mound after 8.2 innings. Just amazing outing by Max!! Currrntly, Padres leading Arizona (YAY) and Brewers leading Mets..YAY!!!!
While it We hold have been awesome for Max to have gotten a complete game. the other positive by him coming out of gzme which allowed the fans to give him a standing ovation. How cool/ impressive that was!!’ Just an impressive game and win!!’ Great way to kick off weekend !
Once again the on base ability of Soler extremely valuable and often overlooked when discussing his value to the team. Two run homer from Murphy instead of a solo shot!
Nice win Bravos. Lifer Braves fan here, never jumped off the band wagon during bad times. Hank Arron was my hero growing up. I listened to680post game and the host said something the lead me to believe Max may not return for 2025. He's said "I want to stay a Brave or something close to that. I also remember Swanson and Freeman saying something similar. Freeman later said it was his agent or something like that. With Swanson it was a relative or something close. They both could have stayed Braves in my opinion. Same with Max. I 'm hoping he still a Brave come next spring. That's just me. If not....
Same here, life time braves guy, I was Dale Murphy, Chipper, Glavine, Smoltz guy, but either way, we all knew we could be watching Max's final game (at least home game) (although I hope we get into the postseason, so we can watch him pitch again)...but Braves Upper Management has a history of not signing long-term big contracts to free agent pitchers (they say because of the risk of injury) and Max will absolutely get the most of anyone on the Market next year....now I myself don't particularly agree with this line of thinking, especially if it's one of our own pitchers who come up through our minor leagues and been with us the whole time, even winning us a WS, which im thinking you probably feel the same way...I hope they resign him, but he's also from Southern California like Freddie and I just don't think the will, and he'll probably be a Dodger next year would be my guess...but maybe I'll be wrong and we can keep him... Go Braves...
Solid game and start for Max! If this is his last start as a Brave what a way to end it going 8 and 2/3rds scoreless 👍The offence had a couple key moments but I feel after two unscheduled off days it may take a couple games to find a rhythm again and get back on track.
Am i dreaming? Everything that could’ve gone right is going right for these braves😃 if both dbacks and mets lose today we would be in the 5th wildcard!
Ive given fried lots of shit over the past few yrs but if thats his final reg season start for us i truely thank him for his service and he 100% will be missed
That would not be scenario for Braves. Braves need at least a 1 game lead on both end of day Sunday. That would give Atlanta. 2 chances to only need win 1 game win as they have the tie breaker on dbacks and 1 win would give them the tie breaker on the Mets season series
@@benjaminwalters7800 I can see why you think that but you are missing on something. Both the Mets and Braves hold the tie breaker over the Diamondbacks, meaning that if they all end in a 3 way tie it would be resolved via tie breaker. There fore if on Sunday they all end up with the same amount of victories there is not a possible outcome on where the Diamondbacks would get to post season beacuase: A) one of the Mets or Braves can finish 2 games ahead of them. B) the team that loses both games still holds the tie breaker over the Diamondbacks and would qualify as the #6 seed. And C) both Mets and Braves finish one game ahead of the Diamondbacks by splittibg the two games DH on monday but would define the tie breaker bethween them which the Braves currently hold. As you can see if all 3 teams finish with the same amount of wins the Diamondbacks will be out of the playoffs no matter what.
Optimal isn’t even the right word. More like the moon and sun aligned for us! Orioles, Padres and Brewers all basically had nothing to play for as the other team is in fight or flight mode…. Baseball is good
I just woke up from a dream that needs to be reality… opening day 2025 rotation of Strider, Sale, Fried, Lopez and Shwelly 🤯 please AA make this happen 🙏 might be best rotation in history 👀
Freud gets hurt a lot and going cost a lot of money. I think the dodgers going big time spend on him. Part of the game business side is realizing when your players would cost too much and have to move on. A lot also has pitching coming.
Mad Max was absolutely dominant tonight, if this was his final start in Atlanta, thank you Max for all the memories

Amazing Mound Attitude!!🎉

I hear ya, exactly how the night needed to go...⚾💯
Playing the weak ass Royals helped
Optimus Maximus makes yet another appearence. If this was his last time pitching @ Truist Park as a Brave, what a performance

I loved watching ozuna steal third base... in fact I loved it so much, that I never wanna see it again!!

Mets lost and diamondbacks are losing
@@Tim_is_a_hooliganthat is awesome!
Go Braves!
What up Jake and Grant! Everydayer
Max's possible final regular season to us is just perfect.
Just as you were signing off, the Brewers defeated the Mets 8-4
Yep. Twins lost, Mets lost, D-backs are down 2 in the 8th. We had the best possible luck in every outcome assume the D-backs score holds.
@@kyleOWillFixIt yay!! Could be a blockbuster of a night to kickoff final weekend of games. Thanks
The Padres will be hosting the Wild Card series in San Diego.
Even Ixuna steals 3 TD base and. Ones home in an overthrow by catcher to give the Braves a 3-0 lead!!
Amazing night as Braves win 3-0!!!!
Let’s go baby
Ive given fried lots of shit over the past few yrs but if thats his final reg season start for us i truely thank him for his service and he 100% will be missed
Best lefty in the game
I don’t think so, but two good starts this week
Hopefully Mets, Braves and Diamondbacks end the regular season with the same number of victories.

Diamondbacks lost !! Let’s go
An optimal night of baseball for the Braves. BIG braves win. Royals in. Mets lose. D backs losing. Baseball is still fun!
Optimal isn’t even the right word. More like the moon and sun aligned for us! Orioles, Padres and Brewers all basically had nothing to play for as the other team is in fight or flight mode…. Baseball is good

Fried is more than likely a dodger and we only know it.
@@benjaminwalters7800sad but true but hey it was a dream literally haha that’s how much I think of the Braves on a reg basis 🤦
Why would we not want Sale, Fried, Lopez & Schwellenbach as our rotation in 25?!!!
You forgot a name...Strider
Freud gets hurt a lot and going cost a lot of money. I think the dodgers going big time spend on him.
Part of the game business side is realizing when your players would cost too much and have to move on. A lot also has pitching coming.
Soler .404 obp last 15 games! Wish Snitker would put him back in the top of the lineup in the 2 hole.
Mets and Dbacks lose!
Zero problems with Sean Murphy from this Braves fan. Wish he'd been healthier, but his work behind the plate is sick.
Mets & Diamondbacks both lost - all even now!
Dbacks losing too come on Padres
We helped you and beat the Dbacks last night .
