Requesting prayers for my son and his wife. They are homeschooling their twin first graders. They have been nervous 😓 but after almost tge first week they are both enjoying the subjects they are teaching. Pray they do well and the boys enjoy and prosper as a family.

Olivia, you are such an amazing woman who is not only inspirational but such a guiding light for so many of us. I have been so busy that I forget sometimes to take care of myself and do the things that I enjoy, like watching your videos and crafting from your inspiration...I am dealing with the loss of my Dad last Thanksgiving day and trying to help my 83 year old Mom who lives an hour away and it doesn't leave me much time for the things I Love, so thank you for being here to touch so many lives. You make me want to take the time that I so desperately need and craft something beautiful!! Thank you again for being the light in my day. Thank you for another beautiful video. I’m a single mom and an empty nester. My middle son got married this summer and for some reason it hit me so hard that life is changing. I’ve struggled terribly but I have a new pup and that has helped! Honestly, I cry a lot because I miss them, but prayer helps. I just ask God to help me get through each day, to be mindful of all blessings He has given me and to always, always, TRUST! Sending you a big hug! ❤❤❤❤

I love the idea of an Autumn tree! I made a very rare trip to Joann's yesterday. Their flowers were 50% off so I got some for a Fall arrangement. Now I wish I had gotten some sunflowers. 🌻 Thank you for sharing a Devotional with us. So many are cautious about mentioning God for fear of ridicule these days. I, too, had a vintage gown displayed on a form for years. I admired the workmanship of the person who created and sewed the dress. Unfortunately, I parted with it with one of our large, out of state moves. It brought me years of joy!

First I'm thrilled to here about the fb group page. That's fantastic, I don't understand why anyone would want to take someone's fb page, it's so sad to think that they have nothing else in the world to do but hurt someone. Prayers for you to get it back and for the person who done this to you. I pray they get happiness in their life. Maybe that will stop them from doing what they are doing. Anyways love how the tree came out! I'm like you in the way that I have so much stuff I could probably decorate another home. I've actually donated a bunch of crafting supplies from paint brushes to ribbon and everything in between. Just trying to declutter and clean out what we don't use. I found a fabulous church that runs a Lil thrift store in a small building and they sell at prices everyone can afford and if you need clothing and can't afford it, it's free. Now that's where I only donate to. Ever since goodwill and other thrift stores have raised their prices I just can't give for free and they sell higher than the price already on the item. For instance when you see dt items and they have them priced at 2.99. How can they call them selves goodwill? It's very rare I buy anything from them anymore, I'd rather pay a dollar or 2 more and go to Walmart and buy it new. I could go on for hours about them so Anyways have a fun filled fabulous week! Keep reinforcing the positive aspects of empty nesting. It's not easy, but, can be done. Cute cheerful little Autumn tree.😊 Feelings of not being needed as much as before and less involved in the kids daily lives is the worst. The older the kids get the more they realize how much they will always need you. My oldest is 39 this year. He misses me a lot and tells me he loves me often. Guys don't stay in touch as much as girls so you text and call Max whenever you can.
Oh Olivia, it’s so hard as our kids fly from the nest! Just know you’ve done a great job preparing them for life. Hold on to Jesus and keep crafting! You are appreciated by this community and thank you for sharing your gift. ❤
I am still praying for your infection. I have seven sons. When my baby boy graduated, I had such an accomplished feeling with a bittersweet heart. What helped me most during his last year of firsts was trying to participate in them with him. He was generous enough to allow me to come to school on his first day and watch him walk into the school. He also wanted me to help with the senior parade float. I went and ate lunch with him at the school cafeteria at least once a month. His classmates always fought over who would get to sit beside me. He always won. 😊 I went to the school his last day and watched him walk into the school for the very last time as a student. Simple things that I had taken for granted 1st grade -11 th grade now seemed much more important. I am praying with you through this.

I have commented before that I purchased three of these devotional books off of EBay. I gifted one to my Twinkie, one to my lil sister and one to myself. 😊
My favorite season has always been the warm weather of late spring and summer and I decorate with lots of pink. My taste is changing now that I find pink sunflowers and pumpkins that are cream and green. I only have a 2' tree that I store in a box, leaving it fully decorated for Christmas. That fall tree looks so inviting, so I am pondering another change.
So happy all is coming together after the hack ! This tree would be a happy addition, tradition to add for decor to the Thanksgiving day celebrations ! Small pumpkins at each place setting with year , have people add their name..hang on the tree every year. This will be cute having as decor during football season too ! Especially if a family that has people over for the game. Here in my area hunting & football bothare big deals, adding footballs along with deer would work here in rural NY on the PA line. Hello Olivia! You did a beautiful job on the mini fall tree! Love the ribbons placed everywhere in it. The devotional was very helpful. A peanut butter sandwich is better when someone else makes one for you! Lol! Hospitality seems something we can need to work on. I laugh when I remember watching Frankie Heck (Patricia Heaton/The Middle) welcomed her new neighbors by bringing them a paper plate, potato chips covered with saran wrap, but that was her best..... 🥰

My daughter moved out in 2020 and my son moved out in 2022. Not only did my son move out, he joined the Navy. That was hard because he was just gone and we haven’t been able to see him much. My advice is stay busy. It isn’t easy. It was so hard adjusting how I cooked, how I grocery shopped. I definitely had my low moments. I will say watching them grow into the amazing adults they are has been amazing. I couldn’t be more proud of them of them. I tell my husband all the time….” We did it!” We raised good, God loving kids, productive kids who will do good things in this world for others. We feel so blessed, truly. ❤🙏🇺🇸
My two sons have been out of the home for a long time. The younger one stayed until he graduated from college. It's difficult, I won't lie! After I retired from my main careers, I became a substitute high school teacher. It got me back into the "school spirit" that I missed. My sons were very active in sports and I missed the games, booster club, etc. I have always had pets, and I focused on them a lot. It is an adjustment. Sinus trouble is the worst, and I hope yours clears-up fast. I always ask God for help when I hit a rough patch, and ask for peace in my life. Blessings to you!

Hi Olivia!! Yes, true, I miss your FB page. Wish you would make a new one if they can't get it going pretty soon. I absolutely love your fall tree and you got my wheels turning on making one too. I went thru empty nest a while back. It is difficult for sure, but you know kids grow up and have families of their own and you will keep in touch with them for sure. After a period of "mourning" esp when one of my kids moved across the country, I realized and enjoyed the freedom and time I had to pursue hobbies or interests I never had time to do before. The love of Jesus will help you get thru this time especially in this new season of your life. God bless and love you!!! 🙏💝

Good morning dear lady! I have two 4ft trees that I got at DT last holiday season. You have just inspired me to bring them out and start decorating. Might be fun to do them for fall, switch to Halloween and then back to fall before the holiday season rolls in again. I love the ambiance of a tree along with my faux candles. Its nice to just cozy up with a beverage, some nice music and just the light of the trees and candles, very relaxing. Put the phones away, turn off the TV, and just enjoy the company of others. I agree Karen. My fraternal twin sister has gotten me into having faux candles burning on timer and batteries in the evening and the peace and ambiance is soothing. I often end my evening to clear my mind with UA-cam DIYs. The creativity of diyers feeds my diying brain. Most of my screenshots are of crafts. I am thankful to have the talent.

I’m on my own now , I was married for 23 years , and my x is passed and I’ve just never got over it never dated to this day. My daughter been married 10 years , she lives 2 mins away. I worked until two years ago, my lab passed also. I started feeling so empty, depressed then instead of being upset for all that happened with God I finally realized he’s what matters he must come first. It’s still sometimes a struggle but I realize it’s the enemy doing this and cling back tight to the father, my days are much better.

When my youngest left home to go to college- I was like you both excited to see her go away to college. Well that being said- it felt very empty in home for the first time. One thing that did help me was I took one room in the house and redecorate it. Wallpaper and all.

My daughter got married in January. I had no idea that I would feel a loss and grief. Not being alone in this has made a difference for me. My husband and I have become closer. Being transparent in our relationships is important. Do not isolate yourself. Tell a friend, cry with a friend. Pray with your friend. Remember, you are never alone, Jesus loves you to death. I am thankful ❤.

Best suggestion for the empty nest: find other women with this experience and meet weekly to pray for your children. My friend did this, and they also found a Bible Study or book to read together on the topic. The empty nest left me alone, staring out the window in grief for 6 months; so I got a job with children and then went back to school at the age of 60.

Yayyyyy about the Facebook page! Quick question for anybody who might be reading this: with the Dollar Tree zipties, do you find that they often pull right through and don't secure? I tend to throw at least a few away from each bag that I buy. Maybe I'm being too aggressive with them? LOL😂

Hey Olivia, it's not easy being an empty Nester. You pray they will want to come home. Ours never does. We have seen her about a week in the past 21 years. Breaks my heart but what am I going to do? I will just stay in place and believe God. I am just going to live my life and trust Father God to take up for me. Oh I do love your devotionals. I love how you share your faith. Well I;m going now but that I send God's love and it will hopefully end in a good day

I have a prayer request for my son and his wife to get to move into a home that my husband and I are helping them with. Pray that closing goes smoothly and they get to move in next month. They’ve been living with my husband and I for over a few years and I want for them to get to move forward with their lives. My son tends to worry about us and he thinks he’s now the man of our house and this is too much for him at such a young age of almost 33 years old. I’m praying they can get this house and start living for themselves and know that we will be okay. We want them to enjoy life with friends of their own age. Also, they are searching for a church home. Please pray they find one soon. Thanks in Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏼☺️🧡
