There are so many games that I get where I waited to buy the "complete" edition so I could get all the DLC with it but I always wonder months down the line why I did that because the game will only have like 15 minutes played or something stupid like that.

My rule for DLC now is if I've beat the main game and really enjoyed it, I'll get some DLC on a Steam Sale. Otherwise, I have such a bad habit of finishing the main/normal game and never going back to it, leaving my DLC untouched..
@@NardView Well, it will probably be long-term, but we always keep our options open. We wanted to be closer to family because living in Japan is just too far away for anyone to feasibly visit especially with COVID and stuff. And that's a good rule. Mine is slightly different (when I actually follow it lol), but if I really like a game then I'll get it close to being finished and I'll buy DLC for it before I'm done. I've found that once I finish a game, even if I really liked it, then I'm not really too keen on going back if I don't already have the DLC ready to go. It's probably why I constantly fall into this same routine of buying "complete editions" that I'm never going to play haha.
I gotcha man, we’ll good luck with the travels!! I’ve been in the Midwest of US my whole life and it’s not too bad, except for the extremely tragic events that seem to happen every week or two.. And I think if I tried that method I’d end up finishing games and speeding through the DLC content. Usually when I finish a game (like Supraland) I’m so ready to be done even if I had DLC for that game for free I wouldn’t even bother. Whereas games like Dying Light which I’ve finished but after beating the story felt I had to take a bit of a break. However I have no doubt I’ll go back at some point and explore the rest of the game/DLC. Then there’s games like Cities Skylines, which use DLC for additional content while you’re playing (before the end), so in that case buying DLC once you’re “finished” with the game would be pointless and forced gameplay imo. So, I guess it depends on the game, and what content the DLC is offering
The Bioshock Collection was very high on my list for the Steam Summer Sale and Epic saved my $15, now I have a wider horizon for Steam Summer Sale. Kiwami is high priority, it was in Humble Spring Sale but there is no regional pricing on humble so I skipped it. Steam price will be much lower so hoping to get that and next one is Metal Gear Solid V. These are my top priority
I've had Bioshock Collection for awhile I think it was a Star Deal on Fanatical some time ago.. still not even close to beating the first one :( I'll definitely be looking out for Kiwami 2, that's the only one I need for the 1st four in the series. That sucks Humble doesn't do regional pricing :( luckily Steam sale is within 2 months away and we have backlogs to play until then :) Good to see you Rohit and thanks for watching!
@@NardView Oh steam sale is just next month June 23rd so less than a month and it sucks Epic doesn't have those extra things like achievements and stuff to keep me hooked on its store for long. Hope they change it soon, because i like working towards achievements, playtime and all those cool stats about my friends
Oh damn I didn’t realize it was that soon! I gotta start makin thumbnails soon 😂😁 yeah that’s definitely one of the downsides of Epic, Steam has so much more on the community side of things like Workshop and complex friends system, Epic has a solid lineup, but is definitely lacking in that aspect
