I'm sitting at my desk working, tears in my eyes! But I'm a 43-year-old man's man! Haha! My 17-year-old daughter was really into them a few years ago (still digs them), so we all kind of got into them, saw them in concert a couple times. This song has always slayed me! And she is finishing her junior year, about to go to prom, talking about colleges she wants to go to, things are moving so fast...all that in my head, and then I play this song?! I'm a mess! Hahaha!
One of my top 5 favorite songs of all time. Lyrically, musically, and the passion put into it. So beautiful. Might actually be my favorite. A big battle between "I'm still here" by John Rzeznik and this.
I came across this song while looking for the lyrics the Kenny Rogers song - these lyrics make me cry. It shows the life I wish I had - not the one that I lived...I think I'd be happy to give any years I have left in this life to the people depicted in this song. I look back and the last 55 years seem wasted breath, and the future looks like more of the same...
Every time I hear this song I get such a weird feeling. Its kind of a nice feeling, but mixed up with a little pain. I think its just so awsome to see that there can be real love and I am just happy to know that his parents had this unbelievable nice love story (althought i dont know them or even him :D), it just makes me smile.
Saw them in concert here in Portland...Nate is charismatic and just as good live (or better) than on CD. I didn't think my love for fun. could grow, but it has.
They are the best band period and I don't like that people can't get over that they are just rock becuase they aren't at all they are so many different awesome things. *peace sign* spread fun.
This song will always have a soft spot in my heart. It always remind's me of my partner because we found aim & ignite around when we first started dating.
my god, why have i only just heard of them this past year? i need this song and others i'm finding that are not on some nights. this song nearly brought me to tears.. beautiful.
Im gonna be honest, I first heard Fun. from we are Young. then some Nights but now I love them sooo much. theyre seriously so amazing. I just........ I cant even. Nate, you're voice is like an angel. Jack, so talented at the gutair. Andrew, the fact that we both play the french horn makes us soul mates. ;) ♥
They're on hiatus right now and all of them are doing their own thing right now. They say that they will come back when they feel inspired to and that they are not breaking up.
Almost every time i hear this song i cry but its always a happy cry :) Nates mom MUST have been an amazing woman since Nate talks about her so much in his music. Its a shame that she had to go so early but she will ALWAYS be alive in there music.
THIS is the Fun. I know. Before all the auto-tune and pop fluff. I still listen to Aim and Ignite like it's new. I ADORE Nate, Jack, and Andrew; they embodied the classic sound of Queen and new age theatrical lyric-driven music. I can't wait until they go back to THIS.
I must admit their lyrics always gives inspiration to me and maybe to all of you out there.. This is what they called talented people where there are meaningful lyrics and a person that can sing live as good as in a studio. Hope they'll continue to make meaningful songs for us without some influence from new shit tune and stuff. I still love 'em.
Amazing band. This song, from the "Aim & Ignite" CD that came out in 2009 is why fun. will just get better and better. Superb songwriting, vocals and keyboards/guitar. If you can make music like THAT in front of the mixing board and NOT on the other side of the glass where the acoustics make everything better... you're NOT a flash in the pan.
I do love how he isn't putting this song behind. I saw them a month ago, this is one of the few Aim and Ignite songs they played. And the only one to be on their new itunes session. So wonderful
Why is everyone complaining about auto tune in their songs when they've only used it in one song and it was only put in there for one part not thoughout the whole song
Im upset that two people disliked this! Also I'm upset about the first album, there no songs played on the radio, every song on that first album could have made it number 1.What were the labels thinking?? At Least I'm Not as Sad as I Used to Be should have won a grammy!!
I like how they focus on Nate for the first two minutes and then the camera pans over to the guitarist like "Oh yeah, and this guy is here too", lol Lovely song
Why isn't this song more popular? One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I love Nate's voice.
I don't think Nate Reuss will ever be beat on vocal talent. He's amazing.
Matt Bellamy
+Alan Tinoco there id only one person that is better than him. Adam Lambert
Does Dead people count?
@@robertarapich1888 are you high??????????
Michael, Brendon Urie, Frank Sinatra, Freddie Mercury are also just as great as Nate
9 years later I finally find this beautiful song
Oh my... is it bad that this song always makes me cry?
a

Nah it gets to me too. Makes me think of my ex-wife....
no its great

this is such a beautiful song played and sang by the most genuine and passionate people. ever.

This is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written!!!
When his voice cracks on "lost you", I cry. Every time. Beautiful.

They're on hiatus right now and all of them are doing their own thing right now. They say that they will come back when they feel inspired to and that they are not breaking up.

Why is everyone complaining about auto tune in their songs when they've only used it in one song and it was only put in there for one part not thoughout the whole song
The song writer is Nate. He wrote the song about his parents.
pure auditory beauty
