Our PM is liar. The oilsands companies and the oil and gas industry in Canada has done more than any other jurisdiction in the world when it comes to reducing emissions. This is a slap in the face to anyone working in this industry.

Natural gas can be used to make hydrogen. This is called dirty hydrogen because carbon is released. Imagine if they we able to capture the carbon and turn it into pure carbon for use in carbon fibre. Worked 37 years in the natural gas industry, never felt unsafe, but did find that management who never work in the field came up with many unneeded safety procedures that mainly slowed the work. Some procedures were good and never felt unsafe even around high pressures!
Management mostly came up with requirements to keep in line with regulations and by using statistical information. It was just pulled out of their butt.
I worked in the oilsands I never felt unsafe.
TRUDEAU has not changed occupations, he is choreographing his drama - scene by scene.

Absolute bullshit. I worked in fort mac for more than a decade. I was up there during the fires. Albian sands housed thousands of stranded residents in their camps, and evacuated everyone with far more organization and speed than any government organization could hope to achieve. Their problem was they relied on information from the government rather than being proactive. I was always paid far more than any other industry offered and with better benefits.

USA came to srilanka did research but unknown reason left at that time I was a child.

At one time Canada led innovation in the oilfield, two of the world's largest drilling contractors came into existence in Alberta electronic drilling recorders started in Alberta. For the last 8 years between the 4 years of provincial NDP and the federal government Alberta has seen most of the head offices along with a large chunk of skilled workers head south. The future of oil and gas in Canada is uncertain thanks in large part to the politics. 2/3rds of voters in Canada are left leaning and agree with how the left is killing the sector that makes up the largest export commodity, and that is where a majority of the problem lies. If Alberta and Saskatchewan don't work on ways to become more autonomous, the federal politics will strangle them slowly into non viability.

I can tell you personally that you never work for a better paying industry no one else comes close As a tradesman who worked for a O&G company when I retired 3 years ago I was making 69 dollars a hr And when the turn down came under Notley this company did everything they could to keep people working They sent all kinds of people south to work in their plants in the US where the industry wasn’t under attack from provincial and federal governments

We could scrape all of Canada into the ocean today and there would be no difference to global temperatures. We are insignificant. The only significance we are making is lining the pockets of the green industry at the expense of Canadian citizens.
We contribute 1.6%. India, China, USA, Indonesia and populist countries need to go on board before us to make it work
Profit and expedience, not worker safety are foremost in the minds of oil industry executives. I say that as someone who was dismissed from one oilfield job for refusing to work illegally, walked off another job for unsafe working conditions and have not worked in the industry since.

Green energy doesn’t make $$$. Shut down Enerkem in Edmonton. Cannot make enough product to sell. To many variables, cannot control with wet waste. Need to dry waste (requires energy), the feed stock isn’t constant (garbage is garbage highly variable), whereas feedstock from oil, or petrochemicals is constant, little variables. Therefore piping doesn’t corrode as fast, valves don’t corrode as fast, reduced downtime.
Give me a break…with all of the sh!t Trudeau senior and Junior threw at Alberta and the oil sector and you’re worried that a 6 month moratorium is going to chase away investment…I’d say give your head a shake, but the rattling sound will drive your neighbour’s crazy

I do agree with what you both are stating. The government is taking our money and living large. I've heard too many times that carbon capture doesn't work and was voicing my knowledge that it does. This government is slowly turning Canada into a Communist country. Taking extra money, telling people how to think, pushing through policy, having an opposition party helping with votes, making decisions on what we are allowed to see. If Trudeau stays in power any longer he will get his buddies to push through a bill for no more elections, and make himself king of Canada.
